Method<strong>is</strong>t Mansfield Medical Center Auxiliary<br />

Thanks to its book fairs, accessory sales, and the popular annual<br />

Holly Days event, the Method<strong>is</strong>t Mansfield Auxiliary has given<br />

more than $150,000 to support programs, services, and equipment<br />

for the hospital since its inception in 2006.<br />

Most recently the group pledged $150,000 over five years toward<br />

the $9.1 million expansion of the Women’s Pavilion.<br />

Dee Lemser, president of the Method<strong>is</strong>t Mansfield Auxiliary, says<br />

Method<strong>is</strong>t Mansfield <strong>is</strong> like a second home to the volunteers.<br />

“We love to serve and want to make sure that every little incidental<br />

need <strong>is</strong> met,” she says. “We want people to walk in and<br />

recognize that we’re trying to be of service to them, to think, ‘I’m<br />

sorry I’m sick, but if I have to be sick, I want my care to be at<br />

Method<strong>is</strong>t Mansfield.’”<br />

Method<strong>is</strong>t Charlton Medical Center Auxiliary<br />

Formed in August 2010, the Method<strong>is</strong>t Charlton Auxiliary exceeded<br />

its fundra<strong>is</strong>ing goals for its first f<strong>is</strong>cal year, ra<strong>is</strong>ing $5,000. Its<br />

<strong>gift</strong>-basket drawing, Tour of Tables, and holiday bazaar have<br />

brought financial and moral support to the hospital.<br />

“Th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> our community hospital,” Auxiliary President Marlies<br />

Peregory says. “In the challenging economic times that we’re in,<br />

everyone needs help, and that includes those who need medical<br />

ass<strong>is</strong>tance. We’re happy to do our small part in ra<strong>is</strong>ing money to<br />

help Method<strong>is</strong>t Charlton keep giving back to the community.”<br />
