TC-W3 approved. Yamalube oils are
so good they have actually been used as
the test oil for many of the TC-W3 ratings!
That means that all other TC-W3 oils
had to measure up to our high standards.
Given that, we raised the bar again
with Yamalube 2-M. The new standard
for outboard oils.

TC-W3 Approved
With so many TC-W3 approved marine
oils on the market, why should you insist
on Yamalube 2-M? While TC-W3 is
a good standard, it sets only the minimum
requirements for lubrication and wear
prevention. Most oil companies are
concerned only with selling oil, so selling
oil which just meets the minimum standard
may be, quite frankly, all they require.
Consequently, their TC-W3 rating is not
necessarily a guarantee that their oil
performs at a standard necessary for
Yamaha engines.
Yamaha’s business, on the other hand,
is outboards. Yamaha has built an
unmatched reputation for quality,
performance, and durability with our
engines. Yamaha does not want to risk
the reputation by selling an inferior oil
product. Since we know our engines and
what their performance requirements are,
we can offer the best oil for them.

precision blended to the 10W-30 viscosity
the factory recommends. This formula

is formulated to fight corrosion, varnish,
