WATER VEHICLE WARRANTY POLICYIn this warranty, the term WATER VEHICLE shall refer toa new water vehicle manufactured by the YAMAHAMOTOR COMPANY, LTD. ("MANUFACTURER")under the trade name of Yamaha, distributed by YAMAHAMOTOR CANADA LTD. ("YAMAHA"), sold at retail byan authorized YAMAHA dealer ("DEALER"), andnormally operated within Canada and registered in Canada.The term CUSTOMER shall refer to the owner or lessee ofrecord of the WATER VEHICLE registered withYAMAHA and to any subsequent owner, and the termDELIVERY shall refer to the date of delivery of theWATER VEHICLE from the DEALER to theCUSTOMER.Section A ­ WarrantySubject to Section D, YAMAHA offers the followingwarranty coverage to the CUSTOMER:1. The period of warranty shall be one yearcommencing on DELIVERY on all WATERVEHICLES purchased for pleasure or governmentuse;2. The period of warranty shall be ninety dayscommencing on DELIVERY on all WATERVEHICLES purchased for commercial use;3. Any part defective by reason of theMANUFACTURER'S faulty workmanship ormaterial will be replaced or repaired free of charge;4. Any repairs and adjustments made necessary byreason of the MANUFACTURER'S faultyworkmanship or material will be performed free ofcharge.Note: Commercial applications include, but are notnecessarily limited to rental outlets.The MANUFACTURER reserves the right to change thedesign of any model without obligation to modify anymodel previously manufactured.Section B ­ Subsequent OwnerThe warranty set forth in Section A may be transferred toany subsequent owner provided that the period of warrantyhas not expired and that the CUSTOMER has compliedwith all terms and conditions of this warranty.The subsequent owner has the responsibility for ensuringthat a change of registration is sent to YAMAHA at thetime of such transfer of ownership.a) the complete model and serial number as shownon the original warranty document;b) the name of the previous owner;c) the original delivery date of the WATERVEHICLE;d) the complete name and address of the subsequentowner;e) the indication that the subsequent owner hasreceived and read the owner's manual and thiswarranty policy.Section C ­ Obtaining Repairs Under WarrantyTo obtain repairs under warranty, the CUSTOMER must:1. Ensure that the WATER VEHICLE is properlyoperated, maintained and stored as specified in theOwner's Manual;2. Give notice to a DEALER of any and all apparentdefects immediately upon discovery and make theWATER VEHICLE available at that time forinspection and repair at the DEALER'S place ofbusiness;3. Provide proof of warranty coverage to suchDEALER (CUSTOMER'S copy of the New VehicleInformation Statement: N.V.I.S.);4. Authorize the DEALER to tear down the WATERVEHICLE for diagnostic evaluation should it berequired.All warranty repairs must be done by a DEALER and finalapproval of any repairs rests with YAMAHA. All partsreplaced become the property of YAMAHA.Section D ­ Exclusions1. This warranty does not apply unless:a) The WATER VEHICLE has been fullyassembled and set to theMANUFACTURER'Soperatingspecifications by a DEALER prior toDELIVERY to the CUSTOMER;b) The CUSTOMER has followed the break­inand storage instructions and all otherinstructions shown in the Owner's Manual;This transfer must be done by contacting the DEALERwho will forward the following information to YAMAHA:
