4. FIRST AID MEASURES<br />

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If irritation or breathing difficulty develops, GET MEDICAL ADVICE by calling an anti-poison<br />

center, doctor or hospital emergency room.<br />

Skin contact: Rinse skin thoroughly with water.<br />

Eye contact: Remove contact lenses. Rinse with gentle stream of water for 15 minutes, holding eyelids open. Get medical advice by<br />

calling an anti-poison center, doctor or hospital emergency room.<br />

Ingestion: If victim is a child, give 120-240 millilitres of water. For adults, give 240-360 millilitres of water. Do not induce<br />

vomiting when this product is swallowed. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep victim in an upright position. GET MEDICAL<br />

ADVICE by calling an anti-poison centre, doctor or hospital emergency room.<br />

Further information: Inhalation overexposure to ethanol vapours can cause headache, nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. Studies in<br />

laboratory animals involving prolonged and repeated inhalation exposures to ethanol resulted in liver damage. Prolonged and<br />

repeated oral dosing of laboratory animals has caused mutagenic and developmental toxicity. The International Agency for Research<br />

on Cancer (IARC) has reported ethanol to be carcinogenic (based on chronic ingestion of alcoholic beverages).<br />

Inhalation overexposure to propane vapours can cause drowsiness, loss of consciousness, asphyxia and death.<br />
