BOYD JOINS 100-CATCH CLUB
Tyler Boyd reached 100 career receptions in just 17 contests, tying
Larry Fitzgerald for fewest games needed to achieve the century
milestone for catches at Pitt. After two collegiate seasons
(26 total games), Boyd already ranks fourth all-time at Pitt with
163 career catches and seventh with 2,435 receiving yards.

TYLER’S TRIPLE-DIGIT RECEIVING GAMES
Tyler Boyd has 11 career 100-yard receiving games, including
six as a sophomore in 2014. Boyd’s five 100-yard games in 2013
set a Pitt freshman record, surpassing the previous mark of four
set by Larry Fitzgerald in 2002.

TYLER AND LARRY FITZ
Tyler Boyd and Larry Fitzgerald are the only players in Pitt history
to achieve two 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Making this
accomplishment even more impressive is the fact that they both
did it during their freshman and sophomore seasons. In ACC
annals, Boyd is the only player to achieve 1,000-yard seasons as
both a frosh and sophomore.
In terms of single-season catches, Boyd owns two of the top
three totals at Pitt. As a freshman in 2013, he hauled in 85
passes, the second-highest total in school history. In 2014, Boyd
had 78 catches, the third most by a Panther. Fitzgerald owns the
Pitt record with 92 catches as a sophomore in 2003.
