INTRODUCTION<br />
The <strong>Kerr</strong> <strong>County</strong> <strong>Budget</strong> document consists of a budget message, an introduction section, budget<br />
process section, a county profile, a financial summary section, revenue detail and departmental budget<br />
sections, position control, step & grade, county officials section and holiday schedule.<br />
The <strong>Budget</strong> Message is submitted by the <strong>County</strong> Auditor. The purpose of this message is to highlight<br />
the issues and priorities that were the driving force behind decisions reflected in this document.<br />
The budget process section provides insight into the various processes in the complete “budget cycle”,<br />
including budgetary controls, and tracking of actual costs against the adopted budget. Also included is<br />
the calendar of significant events in the preparation of the <strong>FY</strong>13 budget.<br />
The county profile section of this document includes some interesting history, statistical and historical<br />
data about <strong>Kerr</strong> <strong>County</strong>.<br />
The Financial Summary Section includes a fund overview, fund summaries, and financial charts &<br />
graphs. This section also includes property tax information.<br />
The <strong>Budget</strong> detail Section includes departmental allocations for the <strong>FY</strong>13 budget, along with<br />
departmental description of duties.<br />
