Dimet TM (sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate solution) is
composed of a 40% aqueous solution of sodium
dimethyldithiocarbamate. The product is effective over
a wide pH range and, when used as recommended,
provides nearly complete precipitation of metals even in
the presence of other chelating or sequestering agents.
The sludge cake produced from its use as a heavy metal
precipitant is compact, highly insoluble, and easily
dewatered.
Calmet®
Cal-Red TM
(calcium polysulfide solution) is a 29% lime-sulfur
based solution and is suitable to use in various treatment
systems as a metal precipitant and reductant. When used
as part of a waste treatment program, Calmet effectively
precipitates the highly soluble metals (arsenic, lead,
copper, zinc, cadmium, molybdenum, uranium) as less
soluble and non-toxic sulfides. It is also used to conduct
in-situ remediation of uranium, selenium, arsenic,
copper, and chromium contamination.
(calcium polysulfide blend) is a 29% liquid blend
formulated for site specific removal of heavy metals from
wastewater stream. Compared to other metal precipitants,
Cal-Red is a unique, cost-effective alternative.
Trimet TM
(sodium trithiocarbonate solution) is a 42% aqueous
solution designed to remove copper, mercury, lead, and
cadmium from waste streams through the formation of
metal sulfides. Trimet will also stabilize metals in sludge or
ash, preventing heavy metal leaching in the environment.
The product is versatile and effective in both mildly acidic
and mildly alkali systems. It is safer to use in treatment
process and presents a much lower toxicity to aquatic life
than many alternatives in use today.
