Messages from Distinguished Fellows<br />
It is with tremendous pleasure that I congratulate the <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong> <strong>Computer</strong> Society<br />
(HKCS) on the occasion <strong>of</strong> its 40 th Anniversary. <strong>The</strong> HKCS has been instrumental in<br />
promoting the use <strong>of</strong> information technology in developing <strong>Hong</strong> <strong>Kong</strong>gs industries and<br />
economy. It has also fostered better understanding <strong>of</strong> how information technology can<br />
transform our daily lives and ways to do business. <strong>The</strong> HKCS has relentlessly and<br />
successfully organised numerous lectures, forums and training for its members and the<br />
public over the past four decades. <strong>The</strong>se activities are great forums for industry<br />
practitioners to exchange views, explore opportunities and achieve results. I also<br />
commend the HKCS for its invaluable contribution in moving us towards higher<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional standards and bolstering the status <strong>of</strong> the IT pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />
I wish the HKCS many more successful years ahead.<br />
