Exporting and Importing
Knowledge Snacks
In easyLEARN, you can store all knowledge objects from the search engine as a ZIP file on
your computer. This also applies to knowledge snacks for which all knowledge objects, which
were added as learning steps in the learning recipe, are added to the ZIP file.
You can archive this easyLEARN ZIP file (for instance, as a backup copy) and reimport it to a
new category or even another easyLEARN system at any time.
Exporting knowledge objects/snacks
1. In the search engine, click
on the 'More Infos' link for
the knowledge object to be
exported (for instance,
snack).
(Or choose 'Edit')
2. Then click on 'Export as a Zip file': 3. Click on 'Next.'
4. Select the elements you want to
export, and click on 'Export.'

5. Click on the blue title to save.
Note: easyLEARN automatically assigns a name a serial number. Change this name during
saving, for instance, to the title of the snack, so that you know later on which file it involves.
You cannot view the snack or another knowledge object until it has been imported again.

Importing knowledge objects/snacks
1. In the search engine, go
to the category to which
you want to add a
knowledge object.
Note: myWorkspace is well
suited to add knowledge
objects to your personal
category which only you
can access. You can go to
myWorkspace by clicking
on the following icon in the
search engine:
2. Click on 'Import easyLEARN Zip file.'
3. Click on
'Durchsuchen/Browse' to
select the easyLEARN ZIP
file on your computer. Then
click on 'Upload.'
4. You can optionally enter
a sub-category to which the
new knowledge objects are
supposed to be added.
Leave this field empty to
not create any subcategory.
Click on 'Submit.'
