Studio Lighting Photo Shoot
on Saturday Nov 9, 2013
8 am to 4 pm at Immanual Lutheran
Church, 4911 N Knoxville Ave, Peoria
At this Fall photo shoot you
will have an opportunity to
photograph models with studio
and natural lighting set
ups. We’ll provide the set ups,
the models, and a variety of
props. This is open to Peoria
Camera Club and KodaRoamers
Club members only. This is
free but to help cover model
and refreshment expenses
we are asking for a maximum
donation of $10 per
person. Arrive at 8:00 if you
want to spend some time in
the morning learning how to
set up and arrange the lighting
and see how it can affect
the pictures. The models
will arrive at 9:00. Refreshments
will be provided in the
morning many restaurants
are nearby for lunch. We’ll
be setting up on Friday, Nov
8, starting at 1:00pm, so feel
free to stop by and help. If

Fall Colors at Matthiessen/
Starved Rock State Parks
Saturday, October 19, 2013 we will be going to
find the fall colors and waterfalls at Matthiessen
State Park. There should be plenty of water running
so the falls will be looking good. For those
of you who have never been there it is well worth
the trip. A word of warning though: The hike
down to the waterfalls and to the canyon and
back again you will be climbing up and down a
lot of steps. This can be tuff especially carrying
camera equipment. Also wear a pair of boots and
take dry socks and shoes to change into for the
ride home. Most of the time, some areas in the
canyon can be muddy and wet. After Matthiessen
Park, if you feel like it, we will venture over to
Starved Rock. They have a snack bar for lunch if
you want. We can then go to some of the upper
canyons like Kaskaskia or Illinois. We will meet at
Immanuel Lutheran Church about 7:45 AM and
leave at 8:00 AM. We will car-pool and caravan

Entries Due: Oct 13, drop off at FPNC
Judging: Oct 18, 6:30-8:30 pm
(refreshments served, ribbons and prizes awarded)
On Display: Oct 18-Nov 8
Entry Submission Rules:
$1 per entry; limit 3 per category
Minimum photo size: 5x7
Maximum photo size: 8x10
Maximum mount size: 11x14
(mounted on mat board or foam core)
Entry form: Attach to back of each entry. Entry forms are available
at club meetings or can be picked up at the Nature Center.
City Landscape images sent via email to handler Tom Romanowski
at troman47@ix.netcom.com are now due no later
than October 8. Images provided on CDs or jump drives
must be turned in by October 1 to Ray Keithley.

KodaRoamers vs
Peoria Camera Club
Our Peoria Camera Club is the host for this Challenge, we
have chosen “Power” as the theme...
Here are the rules:
• “Power” images anything that exhibits or implies power.
• Images must have been exposed after January 15, 2013.
• Image submissions must be digital.
• Image size limits are 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels high.
• File naming convention is:
image# 14 - your competition number - title - .jpg
Example: 001-14-079-Steam Engine.jpg
• If you do not have a competition number call Rich Seeman
at 309-361-8902 or email him at RLS1940@hotmail.com.
• Turn in is between November 1st and December 1st.
• Send up to 8 “Power” images to Rich Seeman at
RLS1940@hotmail.com.
From all images submitted, a PCC team will select 50 to be
entered from our club. If possible, everyone submitting images
will have at least one image entered in the Challenge. The
judging is tentatively scheduled for January 14, 2014.
