All About CompetitionsTuesday, September 18Wh<strong>at</strong> Makes a Good Image?Club member Rich Seeman will explain the rulesand show how to enter all the PCC competitions.Topics will include descriptions <strong>of</strong> each form<strong>at</strong>,all 8 competition c<strong>at</strong>egories, the rules regardingeach and exactly how to enter PCC competitions.Changes to print competition c<strong>at</strong>egories andcompetition records will also be explained.Following the competition program, Rich willlead a discussion about “good” and not so goodcompetition images. Plus we’ll talk about a gre<strong>at</strong> new idea(Julie’s) for making digital processing meetingsmore fun and inform<strong>at</strong>ive.Bishop Hill Agricultural Days(Jordbruksdagarna)S<strong>at</strong>urday, September 29We will head to Bishop Hill for theircelebr<strong>at</strong>ed and distinguished agriculturaldays. Events include traditional 19th Centuryharvest activities & various demonstr<strong>at</strong>ions.Examples <strong>of</strong> demonstr<strong>at</strong>ions will includeblacksmiths, weavers, cobblers, music, andgre<strong>at</strong> food. For those who have not beento this event, the entire village is bustlingwith activities and the architecture <strong>of</strong>the old buildings are well-worth pictures.You will have several photo opportunitiesthroughout the day. So grab your cameraand put on your walking shoes. The activitiesstart <strong>at</strong> 10:00 AM, we will meet <strong>at</strong> ImmanuelLutheran Church <strong>at</strong> 9:00 AM and be on theroad by 9:15. We will car-pool and caravanfrom there. If anyone be interested inBreakfast first we will meet <strong>at</strong> the 50’s diner<strong>at</strong> the Metro Center <strong>at</strong> 8:00 AM. The KodaRoamers Camera Club from Bloomington IL has challenged the Peoria Camera Clubto a photo competition.
