Plus we’ll talk about a great new idea(Julie’s) for making digital processing meetingsmore fun and informative.Bishop Hill Agricultural Days(Jordbruksdagarna)Saturday, September 29We will head to Bishop Hill for theircelebrated and distinguished agriculturaldays. Events include traditional 19th Centuryharvest activities & various demonstrations.Examples of demonstrations will includeblacksmiths, weavers, cobblers, music, andgreat food. For those who have not beento this event, the entire village is bustlingwith activities and the architecture ofthe old buildings are well-worth pictures.You will have several photo opportunitiesthroughout the day. So grab your cameraand put on your walking shoes. The activitiesstart at 10:00 AM, we will meet at ImmanuelLutheran Church at 9:00 AM and be on theroad by 9:15. We will car-pool and caravanfrom there. If anyone be interested inBreakfast first we will meet at the 50’s dinerat the Metro Center at 8:00 AM. Complete rules willbe available at the picnic andmeetings.Competition NumberThe first time a memberenters a competition, he orshe is assigned a competitionnumber that is used to track allof the member’s competitionresults. The handler for thatfirst competition will obtain anumber from the CompetitionDirector and inform the memberof his or her number to be used inall further competitions. The KodaRoamers Camera Club from Bloomington IL has challenged the Peoria Camera Clubto a photo competition. We need 50 images to compete against 50 of their images.Here are the rules...We Have Been Challenged !• The theme is “Vintage”, their choice, but next year we get to choose the theme.• Image size limits are not over 1024 horizontal & 768 vertical.• File naming convention is: image# - 14 - your competition number - title - .jpg.Example: 001-14-079-Retired Gate.jpg - If you do not have a competition numbercall Rich Seeman• Image must have been shot since January 15, 2012.• Turn in is between November 6 and December 4, 2012.• Send up to 8 Vintage images by email to Rich Seeman at seemanrl@comcast.net• The exact definition of “vintage”, is open-ended, whatever you want or think it to be.From all images submitted to Rich, a PCC team will select 50 to be entered from our club.
