In our fast-paced industry, we seldom have an<br />

opportunity to take time to pause and reflect on our<br />

accomplishments as professionals.<br />

That’s why our annual Sales Awards is one of my<br />

favorite C.A.R. events, as it provides each and every one<br />

of us an opportunity to honor excellence in our industry<br />

and recognize how we each have an individual role to<br />

play in our collective success.<br />

Whatever your industry niche - whether you primarily<br />

serve renters, buyers, sellers or investors – the Sales<br />

Awards remind us that our business goals are aligned<br />

to help our industry as a whole succeed.<br />

Each of us contribute to the industry in our own unique<br />

way. What we share is a dedication and desire to serve our<br />

clients by helping them fulfill their expectations and goals.<br />

What is important to recognize is how the work we do<br />

today can help lay the foundation for tomorrow. When<br />

we serve renters, we are working with young professionals<br />

who will likely become future homeowners. When we<br />

help professionals purchase their first home, we may be<br />

helping a future real estate investor.<br />

Similarly, the work we do at the Chicago Association of<br />

REALTORS ® can only be elevated if we bridge new connections<br />

with other real estate organizations. This, too,<br />

will help set a foundation for our future and the livelihood<br />

of our business.<br />

The potential to strengthen alliances with BOMA/Chicago,<br />

homebuilders and neighborhood apartment associations<br />

is strategic to our overall mission as Chicago REALTORS ® .<br />

The real estate business will benefit if we see our goals as<br />

related, and approach them together to achieve more.<br />

As we all<br />

know, collaboration<br />

is the<br />

essence and<br />

spirit of our<br />

profession,<br />

and it’s<br />

important<br />

to continue<br />

cultivating<br />

opportunities.<br />

Sales Awards is a chance to celebrate<br />

this cooperation amongst practitioners. Whether you<br />

are a residential or commercial broker, it’s time for your<br />

colleagues to recognize your accomplishments and share<br />

in your success. This is an occasion to celebrate achievements,<br />

but also a platform for new practitioners to visualize<br />

their potential.<br />

Congratulations! I applaud your hard work and thank<br />

you for allowing the Chicago Association of REALTORS ®<br />

help steer your success through the myriad networking<br />

and education opportunities available this year.<br />
