The <strong>Judy</strong> L. <strong>Wright</strong> <strong>Memorial</strong> <strong>Scholarship</strong> perpetuates the name of <strong>Judy</strong> L. <strong>Wright</strong>, Secretary of South High<br />
School for 17 years, and rewards deserving students. Funds to support this scholarship have been provided by<br />
members of <strong>Judy</strong>’s family as well as her many friends. The <strong>Judy</strong> L. <strong>Wright</strong> <strong>Memorial</strong> <strong>Scholarship</strong> is $100,<br />
awarded annually.<br />
Application Due Date: March 1, annually<br />
This electronic application form can be completed and saved to your computer. Completed applications must be<br />
submitted to the senior counselor by March 1. A selection committee of <strong>Salina</strong> South High school faculty—consisting<br />
of the principal, a senior counselor, an attendance secretary, and two faculty members appointed by the principal—<br />
will determine the recipient. The committee will notify the <strong>Salina</strong> <strong>Education</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> of the name of the chosen<br />
recipient no later than April 15.<br />
ELIGIBILITY:<br />
This scholarship shall be awarded annually to a <strong>Salina</strong> High School South graduate who will attend the University of<br />
Kansas. Furthermore, the recipient must exhibit grades and test scores that will indicate a good chance of graduating<br />
from the University of Kansas. The donor also stipulates that the successful candidate shall meet the following<br />
criteria: (1) be active in extra-curricular and/or leadership activities, (2) be respectful to parents, teachers, and others<br />
in authority, and (3) exhibit good organizational skills and the ability to get along with others.<br />
