MEET THE REGIONALS
MEMBER’S RIDES
FEATURED RIDES
THE STORY OF RMR

Message from the President
Welcome to “un● bri● dled”. This magazine is devoted to
the members of RMR UNBRIDLED, the official club of the
RED MUSTANG REGISTRY. We hope this medium will
allow us to share information with our members and
create a
permanent record of the enthusiasm and devotion that our members exhibit
regularly.
When RMR began I envisioned a smaller more geographic “club” concept, but
quickly realized that what I wanted did not match what was needed. By the end of
our first year, we had members in more than 30 states and over a dozen countries.
Fast forward to today and RMR is approaching 6000 members with representation in
30 countries across the globe. In our first 2 1/2 years, we have had some great group
gatherings: three at the American Muscle Show, Dover International Speedway,
Mustangs at the Mountain, Mustang Memories, Mustang Week, Ford Nationals at
Carlisle and many smaller local events.. Even though we are a “registry”, when RMR
members gather their passion for their Mustang and the camaraderie shared
transforms the purpose of that from registry to that of a club.
This is why UNBRIDLED was born. This is the “Club” side of RMR. RMR members
have the choice to belong to either RMR or both RMR & UNBRIDLED. Those who
want more, want the full club experience can now use RMR as their club and
immerse themselves in a deeper relationship with those in the group. I hope that
UNBRIDLED will continue to grow and that our Regional Leaders will be able to
have club events for members around the world.
As for this publication, it is a celebration of who we are, what we stand for, and
most importantly what we drive.
The Story Behind the Birth of the Red Mustang Registry
And UNBRIDLED, the official club
The time was October 2012, the place was Sellersville, Pennsylvania. I
had just purchased my first Ford Mustang after a long string of less
than remarkable foreign imports. My wife had recently purchased her
second Mustang and was from a “Ford Family” where any car
without the blue oval was not welcome. She quickly got me immersed
into the car show scene which prompted my first Mustang, a 2010
Torch Red GT Premium. This car was unlike any I had previously owned;
bright red interior, flashy from front to back, with a 310 HP V8 engine, quite a step up from the 200 HP
Ford Taurus I had previously been rolling in.
As Mustang owners, we felt it important to go the Carlisle Ford Nationals in the summer of 2012 and
see what the largest Ford event in the area was like. The weather was rainy and the event was
crowded. I saw the huge swap meet, which was great if I had an old LX or classic sitting in the garage
to be worked on. Parts for newer cars were being hawked by the vendors and while prices were good,
I was not planning on dropping a few grand on anything substantial.
Walking the show field, I got to see a wide assortment of beautiful cars; Fairlanes, Falcons, early classics,
the occasional GT and of course Mustangs. Mustangs as far as the eye could see…. There were
thousands. In the middle of the sea of Mustangs, one thing caught my eye—a field of Yellow. It looked
like the sun blazing in the midday sky, beckoning for all to gaze upon the splendor. Walking through
the field I thought to myself, “Why isn’t there a sea of Red, or any other color at that? What makes
yellow so special?” Returning home from that event, I began my research; learning about the Yellow
Mustang Registry and there 9 year history. I was enthralled with the idea of the camaraderie based on
color and looked to join the Red Mustang Registry. More research on the web revealed three red only
groups. Looking at the sites it was evident that two of them were dead and the other one had 170
members over a five year span. The page was dead and there was no where else to look.
Now I am not a person who has a ton of free time, but I really wanted a group to join. I found my local
car club, which I had joined in October, 2012 to be loosely controlled, with a lot of drama and stress;
not something I wanted to be a part of. I actually volunteered to help the group grow and take an
active role, but the president did not take me up on the offer.

This made me realize that if I wanted a group to join that would fit my needs, I would need to create it. I
attempted to contact the owner of the website using Red Mustang Registry as the web address, but
never got a response. It was obvious I would need to start from scratch and RMR was born. Based on
the simple idea of a family friendly page, without the half naked women and drama, devoted to the
people who drive red Mustangs only. Knowing what I wanted to call the group all I needed to do was
get started—buy and register a domain, design a website, choose a logo, create a Facebook page, and
look for members. It only took a couple of weeks to really launch the early phase of the group. My wife
and I would talk to all the red owners we would meet at shows and see if they were interested in
joining. I knew I did not want to charge anything for people to join, since we were not a club. By
August of 2012 we had 150 members and 9 of us attended the American Muscle show together as the
first gathering of members.
Over the next 2 years a lot about RMR would change. First the logo—the original I purchased from
the artist with the rights to limited use, and I knew it was not going to be sufficient for the needs. I
also wanted a logo that would reflect the association of the horse and the automotive purpose of the
group. I realized that I wanted the mane to be a tire tread, something I had never seen before. With
the help of an artistic friend I was able to have my idea put on paper. It has since been trademarked
and has been seen in over 30 countries around the globe.
RMR has grown to almost 6000 “registered” cars in a few years. Not every member is active and quite
a few have sold, wrecked, or traded their Mustangs and some have just left because the group is not
for them. We started as a small “group” and grew into a very large “network”. That network, which
has about 1000 devoted and active members is too spread out to function as a “group” and while I
want to have everyone feel warm and fuzzy, there is a limited to what can be accomplished through
social media. RMR needed more. We have had several events with larger group turnout (The current
record is 130 members at the 2014 American Muscle Show) and a growing feeling of family made
obvious that some members wanted more. On December 29th, 2014 we launched RMR UNBRIDLED
as the official club for RMR. Still operating as a national club with regional leaders guiding local
activities, this club will pick up where RMR leaves off. For those who want to represent RMR, the
registry is for them. For those who want to make it about the people behind the driver’s wheel,
Unbridled is for them… these members interact more, represent RMR as part of their daily lives and
make the members part of their family. I have always believed one thing about RMR, “You get out of it
what you put into it”. We are not the perfect match for everyone. We don’t allow a lot of the
‘traditional” (many would replace that word with misogynistic) beliefs. Our core belief we always be
the same. It does not matter if your are male or female, young or old, drive a 4,6 or 8 cylinder model.
1964 to Present— All that matters is that it’s RED.

Devoted to all Ford Mustangs 1964 to Present, as
long as they’re RED.
RMR is family oriented and promotes a fun
environment regardless of age, gender or number
or horsepower.
Mustangs Stampede… and the members of
Red Mustang Registry are no different.
Members travel long distances to attend
events as a group, sharing and enjoying
time with each other. As the group grows
we plan to come together more often and
in more diverse locations.
Each year we will have the official RMR
tour.
This is a list of shows were we hope to have
larger gathering of members come
together.
In 2014, RMR had 6 tour stops. These
Included the 50th anniversary celebration
At Charlotte Motor Speedway, Mustangs at the Mountain, Mustang Week,
Mustang Memories, The 6th American Muscle show and Ford Nationals at
Carlisle Fairgrounds. These gatherings ranges in size from 20 to 125 members,
But all events had things in common—people, mustangs, fun times and great
Memories.
We hope to see you at one of the TEN events selected for this year’s tour. To
commemorate the tour, each year a tour shirt is designed and made available
through the RMR store. This year’s shirt is themed after the May 1st event
when RMR members will run the “Tail of the Dragon” on the way to our second
showing at Mustangs at the Mountain in Stone Mountain Park, GA.
So get behind the wheel and find an event near you—who knows how many
Red Mustang Registry members you may meet.

Regional Leaders Of the USA

Our regional leaders are
chosen because they have
shown a dedication to our
group and the desire to
help it grow. They
volunteer their time to help
members get the best
experience possible.
Without their support,
RMR would not be the
“family” that it has
become.

I have always liked cars, starting at a small age, when my mom had a 67 rag top
Camaro. But for some reason I was always drawn to the Mustang. As time
went by and I grew up past my military days, I finally saved up for a Pony of my
own, and got my 2000 Laser Red GT.
When I am not working you can always find me tinkering with my car, or at
least getting new ideas for what I can do with it. Being the ЯMR Regional
Leader in the Georgia area, I have met quite a few people and gained a great
many Mustang friends that I consider family, and as they say, you can never
I first learned of ЯMR in late 2012, when someone who was already a member spotted one of my Mustangs on
Facebook. His name is Bob Jambard, and although we didn't know it at the time, this chance meeting online
was a very good thing. After we began chatting online about our shared passion for all things Mustang, red ones
in particular, I wondered if joining ЯMR would be something I'd enjoy. Bob and I must have done something
right, as we are now engaged to be married. THANK YOU STEVE AND NICOLE!
Upon visiting the ЯMR site, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone was, and after seeing all of the
positive comments among members I decided to join. Little did I know the fun was only beginning, and when I
noticed that ЯMR did not have a Regional Leader for Southern
California, I volunteered and was accepted for the position.
I've had Mustangs all my life, sometimes more than one at the same
time. I was 3 years old when my Dad bought me my first
Mustang. It was a red pedal car, and I was the envy of all the kids in
the neighborhood.
With the addition of the new ЯMR Unbridled, new and exciting
things are sure to come along, and we are now actively planning
events for ЯMR members to participate in, giving us the opportunity
to meet one another face to face.
I look forward to the growth of both ЯMR and ЯMR Unbridled, and
this is truly a family friendly bunch that has something to offer
everyone who shares a passion for the little Ford automobile we call
Mustang.
My name is Derrick " Squirl" Chisolm, Regional Leader for North and South Carolina. I've always
been a car enthusiast, especially when it comes to Mustangs. My mom had a 1978 4-cylinder
Mustang II, and that started it all. A lot of my family members had Mustangs, and when time
permitted, I would have one too. In 2010, I bought my first Mustang. It wasn’t the color I
wanted, but it was what I could afford then.
Then it all came together in 2013. I bought my 08 Roush 427R, Torch Red, my favorite color!
Shortly after, one of my buddies asked if I had heard of ЯMR. I checked it out, loved what I saw,
and when we all met in Charlotte NC at the 50th anniversary show, we all instantly became
friends and family . During Mustang Week, I, along with help
from Frank Defeo, put together a cruise-in for all who attended. Mustangs Owned:
This Regional Leader started his car madness in The Garden State MANY years ago…. Of
course with a 1970 Mustang... I have had many cars, including one of my, to this day,
favorites, my 1988 Mustang GT. I then decided “Jersey” was just too cold, so I moved
South to Mooresville NC to work for a little known NASCAR Legend named Dale Earnhardt.
He became a mentor and such a dear friend. After messing with race cars for about 5
years, it got old, so I got back into dealerships and even MORE cars…
My passion is car cleaning. I love the faces of my customers when I return their car.
They look like they have seen a ghost !!! To me, the transformation from a dirty car to a
perfectly detailed one is MY drug !!
As I proceeded in “car dealership” malaise, I just could not
find the RIGHT car.. until…. In 2005 I found MY CAR !!! An
early 2006 build, Torch Red Mustang GT!!
In the years following, every mod... after mod... after mod,
until its present day, has made MY car a true love affair! The
Red Mustang Registry was then only a natural fit, as I am not
only an owner of a company that makes car cleaning
products (CroftgateUSA), but I am TRULY a car guy at
heart !!! I was then added about a year later to the ranks of
Regional Leader and I can only say how proud I am to wear
the RED Shirt!!!
A little about my background and myself. I started working on
cars in 1973 as a mechanic’s helper, and worked my way up to
Service Manager in August 1985. I retired from the automotive
industry in 2006 after 31 years as a Manager/Mechanic. Now I
work as a Sales/Delivery Driver selling and delivering Marine &
RV Parts to distributors in PA, Northern NJ and Southern NY. I first fell in love with a Mustang in
2009; I was taking care of my son’s 2008 Pony while he was deployed to Bagdad. I was impressed
with how it handled and the power it had for being only a 6 cylinder. His was dark blue metallic
with white stripes and I said if I could find a candy apple red one, I would buy one.
Well on July 3, 2010, I found a Dark Candy Red Metallic GT with only 1,200 miles on it, previously
owned by a 70 year old man. I knew it was not beat, so I bought it. It was just a plain candy red
GT when purchased. I have spent many hours and countless amounts of money to get it the way
I want it appearance-wise as it is today, and now it’s time to start working on more horsepower!
I joined ЯMR in April of 2013 and was assigned the number 618 a few weeks before we went to
the Dover Monster Mile, and that is where I first met Steve and quite a few ЯMR family members.
I attended a few local shows with the ЯMR and went to Charlotte
with them in April of 2014 for the 50th, and of course American
I am a proud family member and look forward to meeting many
I was born in So Cal and raised by an all Ford family. I was first introduced to the Mustang
around 5 years old when my grandfather bought a 1964 1/2 red Mustang. Mimicking the
sound of a horse, he convinced me that there was a real live horse under the hood! As you
can imagine, I spent many hours looking through the grill of his mustang searching for that
elusive horse.
Later in years, my step father bought a '72 Mach 1, and for me it was instant love. When I
first laid eyes on my '06 Saleen in 2009, I knew it was a Mustang, but it was sexier than anything
2012
My path to ownership of our 2006 Mustang convertible is a bit unconventional (and for those who
know me, this would not surprise you). We have been going to car shows for decades...enjoying
looking at all the pretty cars and chatting with people about their cars.
Through the 90's and 00's We were quite busy raising our daughter, Emily, and running my
professional sports marketing company. Well, the kid grew up, and we closed the company due to
changing market conditions; and I joined the online world: beginning a new career in Internet
marketing. In 2009 kid went through college and my career settled down and I started working for
Vision Research. We manufacture digital high-speed cameras (if you watched the Super Bowl last
February, you have seen our cameras at work). But I digress.
With kid working in her chosen field and me firmly entrenched at Vision Research, we could
concentrate on us. Renee (my wife of 34 years) wanted a muscle car. OK cool. Then we went on a
three year mission, doing research, watching and learning via the collector car auctions on TV, taking
in a Barett-Jackson auction live, and an hour long chat with Dana Mecum of Mecum auction fame.
We finally decided on a late model Mustang, and searched the dealerships and auction houses for
the perfect car. We finally found our car two miles from our
house at a Ford dealership.
Hooking up with ЯMR was a no brainer! We wanted to meet
fellow Mustang owners and participate in the Mustang
culture, and found ЯMR online. We proudly carry the banner
of #144!
I have lived in Hudson, NH since 1991, and love it here. In April
of 2013, I traded in my 2005 Tony Stewart signature series
Monte Carlo (which I really loved) for my 2007 Torch Red GT
Premium Mustang, and now I will only drive a Mustang. 5
months after purchasing my car, I received a text message
from Nicole (Schatten) through social media about my car,
saying I had a very nice ride and should check out this site. I
did, and immediately I was hooked.
I joined RMR that day, in October of 2013, and patiently waited for my ЯMR #1551 decal, which
came in a couple of weeks. I applied it to my car and then started to get involved with the group;
and what a group it is. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Mustang’s 50th Birthday
celebration in Charlotte NC, and there I met some of the group, who were already like family. We
all had a great time, so I made sure I went to as many events that I could, even getting my wife
Becky involved (Ford Nationals and American Muscle).
In 2014, Steve (Schatten) asked if I wanted to become a Regional Leader
for the group, and I proudly accepted. I try and represent ЯMR In the
most positive way I can, handing out flyers and recruiting new members
from my region, and going to local shows representing ЯMR .
I went to Mustang Alley in August of 2013 in my Yellow 2005 GT. My nephew, who is an Engineer
for Ford, took his dad and me on a tour of the Mustang assembly plant in Flatrock, MI. This is
where I saw the 2013 GT500’s being built. I told him I wanted one. Saturday at Mustang Alley,
they had one of the GT500’s sitting on a display rack up on its side so you could see everything
under the car. I was hooked! I told him I had to have one, and I don’t think he believed me. He
told me if I ordered one and got the serial number he could arrange for me to watch it being
built. I thought about how cool that would be.
Well I messed around and waited until December of 2013. I called him and asked how much
longer I could wait. He then told me that only 10 more GT500’s were scheduled to be built. I
thought I had waited too long. I got online and looked on eBay to see if I could find one. I showed
an interest, and within 20 minutes, I had a phone call. I went to Capitol City Ford the next
morning, and there sat this Race Red GT500 in the show room. To be honest that wasn’t my first
choice of colors but I am glad I got that color now. Boy was my
wife mad when she saw it... She didn’t speak to me for 2 whole
days!
My first accessory for my car was a new kitchen, cabinets,
counter tops and flooring, since we already had new appliances.
That made peace!
Since before I can remember, I've loved being out in the garage with my dad,
helping him work on whatever car we had at the time. When I finally came to
see and hear a Mustang, I fell in love. I've wanted one for as long as I can
remember, and while I've loved any color Mustang, reds have always been
number one for me. I had the chance to buy a Mustang in January 2014, and
the best part was, it was RED! I had been hearing about the Red Mustang
Registry for a long time because my boyfriend has been a member for a few
years (he's ЯMR #306).
I think I had my car for about an hour before we registered it on the website to
get her a number, and from there it's been a fun ride with a whole new family
that loves Mustangs as much as I do. It was a nobrainer
that I wanted to be a Regional Leader so I
could help members get together and enjoy the fun
and good times with fellow Mustang lovers.
I first heard of the Red Mustang Registry in early 2014 while scrolling through posts on the
MCA group page and noticing people posting photos with comments on their color registry
number. I made the comment that I should start a Vintage Burgundy Mustang Registry and
was promptly told I could register it with ЯMR. I did, and suddenly RMR #3370, a 1964 ½
Vintage Burgundy Coupe and I, were now part of the fastest growing Mustang color registry.
I joined the Facebook group and began meeting like minded people all over the country. At
that time there was no Regional Leader in California, so I volunteered and was accepted.
With rapid growth, soon California was split, and I became the Northern California Regional
I am currently the Regional Leader for the Texas area, and would like to take a minute to
tell you a little about myself and my background within the automotive world. In the short
version, I have managed and worked in the automotive financial realm for about 20 years.
As a car enthusiast, I enjoy this part of my job.
From a more personable viewpoint, I have owned a total of five Mustangs, ranging from a
1988 Black hardtop, a 2004 Mustang convertible named “Red,” a 2007 Mustang Coupe
named “Blue,” and I currently own two 2014’s: a red named “Ruby,” as well as a black
named “Midnight.”
I have always been a Ford Mustang enthusiast and
continue my passion with my introduction to the Red
Mustang Registry, my own Mustang forum, Mustang
Lovers, as well as promoting other Mustang groups
and forums that have clean content. My thought is
that we should be able to view photos of Mustangs
and their respective family members without the
hesitation of having to censor material or content.
Asking Jason to write a biography is like hitting your head against a wall. You won’t
scratch the surface and will never get to see what truly is behind the plaster. Jason described
himself as “31 Years old,” and explained that he “got my 1st Mustang when I graduated
high school in 2001.” He decided to join ЯMR “because I wanted to be part of a
group who shared common interests, and be able to meet new people who enjoy those
same interests.” Jason has other impressive hobbies, including being a Firefighter/EMT,
bowling and Ice Hockey.
What Jason failed to mention is that he is incredibly humble and slightly shy. Jason runs
his own car club, Kreative Dreamz, and has successfully hosted his own car shows. Jason
also has been the cornerstone to the success of the two largest ЯMR events to date; American
Muscle and Carlisle Ford Nationals. Jason arranged the hotels, food, and evening recreation
for all of us.
In the first year of having Regional Leaders, Jason has
become the embodiment of what a leader is. Much of
our success is due to his diligence. Anyone who
knows him is glad to call him friend.
Hi, my name is Tina Scheafer. In 2010, I wanted a fun car that was a convertible, and started
looking for one. I looked at several different kinds of convertibles, but none of them impressed
me, until I saw the Mustang, and I knew I had to have one.
I bought my first Mustang in March of 2011 and have absolutely loved being a Mustang
owner! I never imagined when I bought my Mustang how many great friends I would
make. I've met so many fellow Mustang lovers through ЯMR and my local Mustang club,
the Queen City Mustangers. The ЯMR Facebook page has been a great place to go when I
have Mustang questions. It’s a lot of fun getting to know other ЯMR members on Facebook
and at car shows.
I've been the Ohio Regional Leader for ЯMR since January of 2015, and am looking forward
25 years after meeting as a direct result of the 79 Pace Car he owned in his teens, Arthur and his now wife Michele
decided that life was too short not to drive their dream car again. It had been 16 years since they had owned their
last Mustang, and the time was right to get back in the saddle. They decided to begin looking for one in the body
style both liked the most, the New Edge. Each had 2 criteria when they began their search. Michele insisted on a
convertible with a Manual Transmission, and Arthur required that it be a RED V8. Within a week of deciding on
these important options, Chomper was found and purchased in March of 2012.
Michele attended Auto Fair at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Spring of 2013, and fate introduced her to Croftgate
USA, and subsequently, the Red Mustang Registry. Since that event, the couple has found a new passion for the cars
they have both loved since their youths. They even purchased a second Mustang in 2013, an Alloy Metallic 07 V6, as
a daily driver.
In April of 2014, they attended their first of many RMR events at
Charlotte during the 50th Birthday celebration. What ensued next
was an EPIC Summer and Fall of fantastic fun with the most amazing
new friends. Arthur later decided to take that a step further by offering
his assistance to the Registry by becoming the Regional Leader

for Virginia in August of 2014. His most exciting contribution so far is
suggesting the name for the newly founded Club extension to the
I’m Randy, and I live in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, with my wife, Lori. We have been married since March 28,
1998. We have a daughter, Alana, who lives in Wisconsin, and a son Bryan who lives in Chandler, Arizona.
I’ve always been a Matt Kenseth fan, which is convenient, as his museum is in Cambridge WI, an hour
from Reedsburg. I became interested in Roush Mustangs in 2010, and we purchased our first one, a Torch
Red 2010 Stage 3, #82 of 103. We have attended many Roush Road Crew events and got more interested
in Roush Performance, and subsequently purchased our 2nd Roush, a
2012 Premier edition, the only one painted Red Blooded American. I
talked them into building Serial #17 (Kenseth’s number, he drove for
Roush last year; but I got him to sign it before he moved to JGR).
In 2013 we purchased our 2nd Roush Premier (our third Roush), Serial
#03, the only 2012 Premier painted Performance White. In 2014
we attended a Roush event at Skillman Ford in Indiana and purchased
our 4th Roush Stage 3, a 2014 Impact Blue convertible. Fortunately,
we have a Renegade Ikon with a stacker trailer that we can
take 2 of our cars with us, when we go RV-ing to Winter in Arizona.
The feeling of those restraints slipping
Those seat belts (what else could I have
Over the years there have been many
shades of red, but which is yours? Here is
the list of every shade produced in a Ford
other shades produced by third party
companies which are not included in this
1965
Kevin Brown
I’ve had a passion for Mustangs all of my live. My first car was a 1966 straight 6
with a bench seat! I’ve owned a few since my current 1965 GT Remod coupe. In
early July of 2009 I went to look at a 1966 convertible for sale from a small local
shop that restores and sells all years of Mustangs. I had every intention of buying
the springtime yellow convertible, however as I arrived at the shop I noticed this
beautiful Red coupe sitting in the front display area. I proceeded to look at the
convertible but kept going back to check out the Red Coupe….It was as though the
car was speaking to me…. I of course ended up buying her instead! Since then I
have made many changes however keeping with the old school appearance. A
partial list of work I have completed so far would be power disc brakes, power
steering, performance suspension, gas tank, 3/8’ inch stainless fuel line, Tri Y Bar
long tube headers, dress kit to include black with red letter Ford / Pony valve
covers, oval air cleaner with running pony emblem, red racing wires, chrome cross
braces, Monte Carlo curved chrome bar, MSD ignition and other typical / normal
performance upgrades in tuning to get a the great running 50 year old pony I have
now! I plan to have he hooked up to a dyno this March just to see what she is
pulling. My thought is that she is very close to 220/230 to the rear hp with about
240 of torque. She is fairly spunky for a classic semi daily driver. The only part of
the car I have not upgraded and simply can’t bring myself to do is the interior. She
still has her original upholstery – which includes an original bench seat. Although
the red vinyl is a little faded it is still in great condition – As much as I would like to
upgrade to a new pony interior I just can’t bring myself to cut out that original
vinyl. Although I would very much enjoy a late model Mustang one day….This
classic will always be with me!

I've always had a love for Mustangs but didn't get my first one till 2003 when I
bought a Black GT 5 speed as a gift to myself after my divorce. I've had others
since then including an 87 Fox GT and a 95 GT Vert. My current Mustangs are a
78 King Cobra and the 71 Mach 1. It's a 351 4 speed car with a functional ram air
hood and Deluxe Interior. I got this car in November of 2013 .
I came to own the Mach 1 by sheer luck, I was driving with my wife on the way
to do some shopping and she saw the car in a "do it yourself car wash" and
said, "Wow look at that car Eric" I was in love but thought there was no way I
could ever afford it. well as luck would have it I talked to the gentleman who
owned it, he was in his 70's and didn't have an interest in it anymore so we
were able to come to a deal and I was the new owner of the Mach 1

In 2006 My father purchased the 1989 Mustang GT from our neighbor who
just needed a family vehicle due to his expanding family. Our neighbor
bought it from his neighbor whose wife bought it for him brand new for
his 25th birthday (also the mustang's 25th). At that time the car was
still all original with just full after market exhaust and heads.
Shortly after purchasing the oil pump rod broke. we then pulled the
motor and had it bored and stroked to a 347. we played with the car a
little here and there until 2009 when I began to show the car. we still
drove the car to and from shows and to dyno days. The car dynoed at
430HP at the tire with 550TQ. shortly after we started to have engine
problems. In 2012 My father gave me the car as a graduation gift. The
car was a father son project that we both enjoyed.
Currently the car is awaiting installment of the new motor I had built
for it. it is a 302 bored .030 over with a F303 cam, GT40 tubular
intake, GT40P heads, 24lbs injectors, High volume oil pump, and full
exhaust. I have also added sub frame connectors, 4:10 rear end gears and
a solid trans mount. The car is still in factory non clear coat paint,
with the red cloth interior. I love driving and working on this car and
plan to keep it for many, many years to come and will hopefully one day
pass it to my son.

I got my Mustang on 2/12/2011 and it is a daily driver. I have kept it pretty much
stock, but did add a Flowmaster
exhaust. The Pony has been repainted twice in the last 3 years and have kept it
the original color. I have added a styling bar, new head and taillights, windshield,
custom rocker stripes, windshield banner, and changed the convertible top from
tan to black. It has come a long way since I got it.
Just this past summer, I started showing it in local car shows. I have had a lot of
fun and have met so many new people. This car means the world to me. Here is
a fun fact about my Mustang. According to the Marti Report, my car was
produced on 2/17/2004-26 days behind schedule. I guess they saved the best for
last!
I test drove my mustang 3 times before I really fell in love with it. I wasn't even
looking for one, but it found me!!! This is my first Mustang, and it has turned
into an obsession! I love all things Mustang. I have made a lot of new friends
who share my love of the Mustang. What a great group of people I have found!!!
I can honestly say that I will never own any other car but a Mustang!!!

Had a 2010 Mustang GT Kona Blue for 13 months when the 2011’s came out.
The ’11 V6 had as much HP as my ’10. I thought if I sneezed at the light the V6
could beat me. Was going to have my V8 supercharged. My wife asked how
much horsepower. I said about 475. She asked how much in new one, I said
412hp. She then stated, trade the ’10 in for the ’11 Gt/CS. So I did. Got it in July
of 2010, and was trying to determine a theme for the car. Came upon the idea
of a theme for Veterans. But to better utilize the hood needed to flip it. Found
an custom shop who did this but not on a Ford product. Three weeks later he
was done. Once the hood was flipped needed it painted. Saw a picture on the
web and decided that’s what I wanted. Airbrushed on in 2 weeks and I was
ready to go. Since then had an engine problem and the Ford Racing Illuminator
5.0 was installed, with a CobraJet mono blade throttle body, CobraJet oil
pump, JLT boost-a-pump, Roush TVS 2.3 Supercharger. Last dyno was at
594rwhp with torque of 518. Special honors: Car was on stage at Ford World
The story begins in May of 2013 when I first called my Ford Dealer and told him I
Mustang I had ever bought new and it had to be special. As the owner of a 64 ½
Coupe I was waiting for the 50th and the new body style. Now I had to think up a
name for the personalized license plate and see if it was available. I decided to
keep it simple “My 50th” and went online to the DMV to check if it was available.
Rats! Someone already had it; probably for some car they got on their 50th
birthday I thought so how can I work around it. That turned out to be easier than
I thought, just change the Y to I and bingo “MI 50TH” was born. The license plate
arrived in December 2013 just after Ford released the design of the new 2015
Mustang but it was clear the car would not be available for quite some time. My
salesman and I built the order for a fully loaded Ruby Red GT with 50th
Anniversary Package in late April 2014 and it was placed as soon as the order
banks opened in May. Mid August 2014 and the assembly line at Flat Rock starts
building new Mustangs but still no Idea when they would get to mine. Finally my
car was assigned a VIN # and I quickly applied for a new Registry number. RMR
#4926 was assigned and my car was now the first 2015 Mustang to be in the Red
Mustang Registry. The car was built on October 6th, exactly 50 years and 4
months after my 64 ½ Vintage Burgundy Coupe RMR #3370. It arrived at the
dealer on October 23rd and I picked it up on the 25th 4 days before my Birthday,
the best present I ever got!
