VBS June 9-June 13

Mission Opportunities for VBS 2013
This year our mission efforts will be supporting the Samaritan Health Clinic right here in Easley! During June,
there will be collection tubs at the VBS bulletin board to collect items that are needed by the clinic. Please
join us in this important mission for our neighbors in Easley.
Items to donate during VBS:
Sunday: Paper lunch bags
Monday: Pencils
Tuesday: Post-it notes
Wednesday: Kleenex
Thursday: Glue sticks
Other items being collected for missions are: Paper lunch bags, pens, pencils, highlighters, spiral notebooks,
post-it notes, glue sticks, postage stamps, copy paper, toilet paper, paper towels, antibacterial soap, Kleenex,
Ziploc bags (quart and gallon sizes). We will be taking these items the entire month of June. A drop-off box is
in the glass hallway.
Ten Thousand Villages
The shop will be open each night during VBS from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. upstairs in the 5th grade/Bride’s
Room. Get a glimpse of items made by gifted artisans from all around the world. All proceeds benefit those
who made the items. Come and make a difference for our global neighbors.
Bible School Build
If you are age 16 and over and not otherwise busy during Vacation Bible School (Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday) plan to join us as we work on our Habitat House. Join us for as many evenings as you can. We
will leave from the church, after dinner each evening. Or if you prefer, just meet us at the site. The address
of the house is 109 Baker Court, 29640 (it is close to the hospital).
Closing Celebration
The closing carnival and celebration will be Thursday, June 13, at 6:00 p.m. The VBS participants will gather
for a cookout, singing and a carnival in the big back yard.
