Uncompromised safety credentials<br />
At the crash test laboratories of Kia Motors’ Namyang Research and Development Centre, we undertake<br />
rigorous testing for a wide <strong>range</strong> of motor accident scenarios. From the early phase of development we create<br />
computer simulations to predict a vehicle’s safety and up to 100 crash tests of the vehicle are performed prior<br />
to launch. The All-New Sorento <strong>range</strong> is fitted with all-round 3-point seatbelts, whilst ISOFIX child seat top<br />
tethers and anchor fixings are fitted as standard in the rear to protect younger passengers on-board.<br />
Rack Mounted Motor Driven Power Steering (R-MDPS)<br />
A firm, solid feel and unprecedented steering response are<br />
simultaneously achieved with R-MDPS.<br />
ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution<br />
The Brake Assist System (BAS) detects emergency braking<br />
depending on how quickly you brake. It instantly applies full<br />
braking force which helps shorten the overall braking distance.<br />
Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)<br />
Hill-start Assist Control prevents you from rolling backwards<br />
when starting on a steep hill.<br />
Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)<br />
Vehicle Stability Management helps minimise over or understeer<br />
in adverse weather conditions.<br />
Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS)<br />
This feature causes the brake lights to flash simultaneously<br />
followed by the hazard warning lights in the event of the<br />
vehicle braking sharply, helping to avoid collisions by warning<br />
