Blind Spot Detection (BSD) – ‘KX-4’<br />
If the All-New Sorento senses a car in your<br />
blind spot, the blind spot detection system<br />
triggers a visual warning. If the driver tries to<br />
change lane whilst a car is in the blind spot,<br />
the system sounds an audio alert<br />
Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) –<br />
‘KX-4’<br />
In conjunction with the Blind Spot Detection<br />
system, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert will assist<br />
the driver when reversing into crossing traffic.<br />
When reverse gear is engaged, RCTA will<br />
monitor for any crossing traffic and provide<br />
a visual warning in the left or right exterior<br />
door mirror which is accompanied by an<br />
audible sound. The system is able to detect<br />
cars, motorcycles and even shopping trolleys<br />
although the detection zone varies (car 20m,<br />
motorcycle 15m and a shopping trolley 10m).<br />
