360° around view monitor (‘KX-4’)
This is a brand new intuitive system on the range-topping ‘KX-4’. The system
combines four wide-angle images from cameras at the front, rear and sides of
the vehicle to give you a comprehensive bird’s eye view of the space around the
car while parking or moving at low speed.
Lane departure warning system
(LDWS) – ‘KX-3’ upwards
A camera at the front of the car
monitors lane markings and, if
the driver moves out of the lane
unintentionally, the instrument cluster
emits a warning.
TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring
system)
The TPMS feature warns you if
the tyre pressure is too low and it
also shows the current pressure of
each tyre.
Speed Limit Information Function
(SLIF) - ‘KX-3’ upwards
This handy feature uses a camera and
navigation system to read speed limit
signs along the road and displays the
information beside the speedometer
and on the navigation screen.
Blind spot detection (BSD) – ‘KX-4’
If the All-New Sorento senses a car
in your blind spot, the blind spot
detection system triggers a visual
warning. If the driver tries to change
lane whilst a car is in the blind spot,
the system sounds an audio alert.
Smart park assist system including reverse and parallel departure function
(‘KX-4’)
This innovative feature is designed to help you when manoeuvring into both
parallel and tight parking spaces as well as reversing. It recognises a suitable
parking space, steers and judges the distance to cars around the car - all you
need to do is adjust your speed and change gears accordingly.
