8. Post Construction<br />

8.1 Monitoring <strong>and</strong> Control Program<br />

<strong>Weed</strong> monitoring <strong>and</strong> subsequent weed control will continue for 2 years after project<br />

completion <strong>and</strong> be under the control of the Contractor for this timeframe. This will be<br />

achieved through the development <strong>and</strong> implementation of a <strong>Weed</strong> Monitoring <strong>and</strong><br />

Control Program (to be included as part of the CPWMP). This program will include<br />

(but not limited to):<br />

• The rate of monitoring <strong>and</strong> control post completion will be as follows:<br />

<strong>–</strong> Post rain event <strong>–</strong> once a month for three months<br />

<strong>–</strong> Otherwise, once every two months<br />

<strong>–</strong> In response to l<strong>and</strong>holder or operator request<br />

• <strong>Weed</strong> monitoring <strong>and</strong> control activities shall include all Project Areas (eg tracks,<br />

ROW, camps, laydown <strong>and</strong> storage areas)<br />

• <strong>Weed</strong> control shall be undertaken by appropriately qualified <strong>and</strong> experienced<br />

Contractors who are appropriately licensed under the ACDC Act<br />

Upon completion, the responsibility will be h<strong>and</strong>ed to the Pipeline Operator.<br />
