Dear Members,
As this issue goes to print some very exciting things are in the works for
the Orange County Chapter. A new slate of leadership is preparing to
rally our membership on a path filled with opportunity, education, and
a little bit of adventure. The industry is without question evolving and
as one of the nation’s largest chapters, Orange County is realizing the change of tide in a
very real way. Now is the time for innovation and revitalization. Our national leadership
team has embraced that concept and so have we. As a result, you will see a more business
driven and politically conscious methodology develop over the coming year. It truly has
never been a better time to be a member of ASID.
With this in mind, I encourage every member to invest in absorbing and relaying the abundance
of information that is passed along to you at a local and national level. There are so
many resources and so much information available exclusively to our members, but only
you can filter and utilize the benefits that suit your business best. I encourage you to visit
the national website regularly, read your chapter and national quarterly newsletter, and
most importantly participate in chapter events and programs.

Over the past couple of months, I have connected face to face with chapter leaders from
across the nation as well as the new ASID National Executive Team and Board of Directors.
The energy among the entire organization is nothing short of spectacular and in a word,
contagious. That same energy has trickled down to the chapter level and was clearly evident
at our recent Southern California leadership training. You can read more about that in this
issue.

In closing, I want to acknowledge the many dedicated and active members who make up
the Orange County Chapter. Year after year you make the decision to engage, support,
and participate. My own decision to be a part of ASID stemmed directly from the value
exhibited by some long time chapter members, many of whom have become great friends
and valuable business allies. Thank you for influencing me and so many others who are
now part of an organization that benefits our industry in so many ways.
