How Do People Get Around in<br />

Rome?<br />

Rome is a very busy city. Most Romans have got<br />

their own cars or motorbikes. Actually, 50% drive<br />

their cars or ride motorbikes in the city centre. It<br />

is cheap to use the underground or take the bus,<br />

and about 22% get around the city like this. The city<br />

centre is small, so it is easy to walk. About 19% of<br />

people walk in Rome. Taxis are very expensive, so<br />

only 7% take them. Not many people have got bikes.<br />

Only 2% of Romans ride their bikes in the city.<br />

How Do People Get Around in<br />

London?<br />

London is also a very busy city. The underground is<br />

very easy and fast and 40% of the people there use<br />

it to get around London. A lot of Londoners have got<br />

cars. 30% drive their cars in the city. Londoners also<br />

often take the bus because it is cheap. 19% take<br />

the bus to get around. Taxis are expensive, but 8%<br />

of Londoners take them. Not many Londoners ride<br />

motorbikes and only 3% walk or ride a bike because<br />

it is usually rainy or cold.<br />
