“A Century of Trust” The Hydro-Foam ® Story The Hydro-Foam nozzle was conceived, designed, developed and field tested by professional firefighters for use by firefighters. Since its introduction to the fire service 20 years ago, it has been used successfully to extinguish many flammable liquid fires in storage tanks, on barges, at loading terminals, in refineries and chemical plants, on offshore rigs and highway spills. The UL Listed Hydro-Foam nozzle has proven itself time after time on the fireground worldwide. This remarkable master stream nozzle has its own built-in foam eductor, so it can be used for an everyday water application nozzle with the capability of instantly becoming a foam nozzle when needed. By simply attaching the Hydro-Foam to your existing fixed or portable monitor, you have an instant foam station. By attaching one to the deck gun on your pumper, you have foam capabilities similar to a crash truck. The Hydro-Foam is ideal for those situations where greater application rates are necessary for containment and/or extinguishment of large spills when using AFFF; or for containment and/or extinguishment of structure fires when using Class A foam. Hydro-Foam in Action The Hydro-Foam is available in two gallonages. The HF-350 is pre-set for 3% proportioning and can be easily changed in the field to either 6%, 1% or 1/2%. The HF-500 is also pre-set at 3% and can be changed to 1% or 1/2%. These nozzles are constructed of rugged brass alloys making them impervious to corrosion.
