AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER III OF THE CODE OF THE <strong>CHICAGO</strong> <strong>PARK</strong> DISTRICT: (7)<br />
ORDERED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District (the “Board”) grant authority<br />
to amend Section C of Chapter III of the Code of the Chicago Park District to allow electronic filing of<br />
economic financial statements directly with the Cook County Clerk and to eliminate the filing<br />
requirement to the Chicago Park District Ethics Officer.<br />
Ordinance can be found attached to this document as Exhibit A on pages 150-156 of the Regular<br />
Meeting held on January 16, 2013.<br />
Vice President Armstrong moved that the matter be adopted.<br />
The motion prevailed and the matter was adopted by a roll call vote of yeas and nays as<br />

The Committee on Programs and Recreation met on January 16, 2013 to discuss matters referred from<br />
December 13, 2012 to January 16, 2013 and hereby recommends its report be adopted.<br />
AUTHORITY TO AMEND THE GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE GARFIELD <strong>PARK</strong><br />
CONSERVATORY ALLIANCE: (8)<br />
ORDERED, that the Board of Commissioners of the Chicago Park District (the “Board”) recommends<br />
that the General Superintendent and CEO or his designee negotiate and enter into an amendment to<br />
the existing grant agreement with the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance (the “Alliance”). The<br />
Alliance was established to raise private funds to support the creation, restoration and conservation of<br />
Park District facilities at Garfield Park Conservatory and the expansion of associated programs. The<br />
proposed amendment will: (i) increase the amount of the annual grant from $180,000 to $200,000 per<br />
year starting in 2014; (ii) extend the term of the current agreement by three years; (iii) permit the<br />
annual exhibit maintenance allowance to be used for exhibit preparation work; and (iv) increase the<br />
operations funding for greeter and janitorial services to $227,000 annually with an annual increase of<br />
2% or the equivalent of the CPI percent increase, whichever is smaller. The amendment will also<br />
include any provisions necessary to comply with applicable tax-exempt bond regulations.<br />
Commissioner Allen moved that the matter be adopted.<br />
