Adult Consumption Patterns
Scott County, state, and national rates of current cigarette use did not differ significantly,
nor is there significant difference from 2003-2006 in Scott County rates (Figure 22).
The rate of Scott County mothers reporting tobacco use during pregnancy has been stable
since 2002, hovering between 18-22 percent of all pregnancies. The Scott County rate of
tobacco use during pregnancy has been consistently higher than the state rate, averaging 3
