Tobacco Consequences There is a lack of tobacco consequence data in Scott County, as well as for the state of Iowa. Lung cancer death rate is the only indicator that met all requirements for inclusion in the profile. The lung cancer death rate has decreased slightly from 2003 to 2006 in both Scott County and Iowa, with the Scott County rate tending to be lower than the state rate (Figure 28).
