Amagansett Weekend
September 23-25, 2011
The eastern end of Long Island beckons members of BTCNJ again.
One of the fabulous ride weekends offered through our club . . . a
weekend of great cycling shared with long-time cycling friends
and welcomed newcomers. The Ocean Vista Resort in Amagansett,
a “right on the ocean” resort with immediate beach access, is our
weekend home. Each room has private bath, refrigerator, & kitchen
items including coffee maker.
Riding terrain is mostly flat, with different routes to satisfy every riding
level. We have added a different Sunday ride, 28 stunning miles
along the Shinnecock Bay Peninsula with a lunch stop in Southhampton.
Not to be missed.
All inclusive in the weekend are two continental breakfasts; “bag
breakfasts” available for early risers who choose to ride a century;
Saturday cocktail hour at our hotel, followed by dinner at Gurney’s
Inn, just three miles away. We will dine in the Lido Tent, overlooking
the magnificent Atlantic (weather permitting), with an ample and
varied buffet, followed by assorted dessert specialties, coffee, tea &
sodas. Following dinner, there’s dancing at the Gurney’s Inn, walking
the beach or making your own plans with club friends. All this is
included in the weekend rate, based on double occupancy.
Space is limited . . . regretfully we are only able to accept the first 70
people who send full payment to us. Extra hotel nights on either
end of the weekend will be available at a discount rate (TBD).
To reserve your spot, please send a check for $210.00 per person
(double occupancy) made out to Bill Telgheder, along with your
name(s), address, phone number, and your e-mail address.
We will organize a Friday night dinner option for those interested,
not included in the weekend rate.

Hudson River Valley Pannier
June 25-30, 2011
We’ll tour the Hudson River Valley and beyond on this self contained
pannier tour. Daily mileage will average 65 miles, and there will not
be a support car. We’ll stay in motels every night. Cost will be
approximately $500. We depart on Saturday, June 25th and return on
Thursday, June 30th. Hope you can join us for the whole (or any part)
of the tour.

Memorial Weekend With Us?
We'll be returning to our favorite accommodations in Vermont, The
Landgrove Inn (close to Manchester). If you'd like to ride surrounded
by beautiful scenery, dine well and enjoy the company of fellow
club members in the most tranquil and picturesque of settings, let
us know and secure one of the few remaining spots. We can possibly
arrange a roommate for you, too. $295 for this special three

Bike + Stay, Jim Thorpe, PA
July 15-17, 2011
We will be staying at the historic Jim Thorpe Inn and biking along
the scenic Lehigh River Rail Trail. Mountain bike rental is included for
Saturday. Optional—bring your own road bikes for rides on Sunday.
The average mileage/day is 26 miles, and this tour is recommended
for C* riders and up. If there is any interest, we will also arrange for a
Sunday morning road bike ride. For those who choose not to bike,
there are plenty of options -- hiking, historical walking tours and train
ride, as well as swimming in the nearby Lehigh River. The cost is $260/
person, based on double occupancy, which includes accommodations
for two nights, a hot breakfast each morning, one full sit-down
dinner on Saturday night, bike rental (including helmet) for Saturday,
taxes and gratuities. Cancellation policy is one week prior, as long as
double occupancy is maintained. To reserve your spot send a $100
