The primary objectives of this National Institutes of Health funded project included: conducting a<br />

comprehensive meta-analysis of the efficacy of psychological <strong>and</strong> behavioral treatments for sexually<br />

abused children; investigating treatment characteristics (e.g., theoretical approach to treatment,<br />

treatment modality, type of study design) that may moderate the efficacy of interventions for children<br />

with a history of sexual abuse; <strong>and</strong> examining the impact of the participant characteristics of age,<br />

gender, <strong>and</strong> ethnicity on treatment outcomes.<br />

research participants for a public engagement project on p<strong>and</strong>emic influenza. The online project<br />

consisted of creating a database, coding variables, running the statistical analyses, as well as<br />

completing a qualitative analysis. Other responsibilities involved serving as a graduate research<br />

assistant for the Early <strong>Child</strong>hood Mental Health subcommittee of a State Infrastructure grant.<br />

assistants; creating study protocols; interviewing participants; <strong>and</strong> implementing a Social Support<br />

Completed a master’s thesis, which examined levels of instability (i.e., changes in residence, school,<br />

<strong>and</strong> caregiver) in the lives of children who had been maltreated <strong>and</strong> the relationship of this instability<br />

to their psychological <strong>and</strong> behavioral functioning. Results suggested that while reunified children<br />

experienced the highest amount of instability in their home environments, they were functioning<br />

better in the adaptive <strong>and</strong> psychological arenas than children in other placements.<br />

consisted of investigating the applications of using a Geographic Information System in child<br />
