<strong>Limestone</strong> College 2005 Player Bios Volleyball Juniors: Julie Oleson Class – Junior Pos – Setter/DS Height – 5-4 Hometown – Seattle, WA Club Team – Puget Sound, Wahine Previous School – Shoreline CC Previous School: At Shoreline Community College, Julie led her team to a 33-15 record and second place finish in the NWAACC North division for 2004. She averaged 8 assists per game for Shoreline. Prior to attending Shoreline, Julie played at USC Aiken as a freshman where she was the team's top defensive specialist, collecting 315 digs. Personal: Daughter of Mel Oleson. Majoring in Psychology. Amber Wise Class – Junior Pos – Outside Hitter Height – 5-9 Hometown – Brownsville, TX Club Team – Rio Grande Previous School – Temple Junior College Previous School: At Temple, Amber carried her team to two North Texas Junior College Conference titles, a Region V championship, and an appearance in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. She was named team captain in 2004, and earned All-Conference and All-Region honors. High School: Amber was a 3-time All-Conference selection and led her Brownsville Pace High School team to the Texas 5A state playoffs. Personal: Daughter of Stephen and Drue Ann Wise. Charleston HS Shannon Zehr Class – Junior Pos – Defensive Specialist Height – 5-5 Hometown – Carthage, NY Previous School – Carthage HS 2004: Megan recorded 95 digs and 10 aces in 58 games. She had a personal best 20 digs against Pfeiffer University and 2 aces against Coker College and Pfeiffer University. 2003: As a freshman, Megan played in 22 matches, recording 46 digs. She had a .903 serving percentage and .900 passing percentage. High School: Megan earned the Most Aggressive award and made the Ashley Hall Invitational All-Tournament team in her sophomore year. As a junior she received the Best Defense and Patriot awards. In her senior year, she was named to the West Ashley Invitational All-Tournament team. Personal: Daughter of Jim Woods and Lori Dickson. Majoring in Elementary Education. 2004: Shannon recorded 181 digs and 27 aces in 87 games. She had a personal best 16 digs against Anderson College, 23 receptions without an error against Barton College, and 3 aces against Paine College and Livingstone College. 2003: In her freshman year, Shannon played in 21 matches. <strong>Limestone</strong> College 2005 Player Bios Volleyball Sophomores: Ashley Blackwelder Class – Sophomore Pos – Outside Hitter Height – 5-9 Hometown – Apex, NC Club Team – Capital City Previous School – Fuquay-Varina HS 2004: Ashley recorded 86 kills, 20 blocks, and 18 digs in 50 games. She had a personal best 14 kills and 5 blocks against Barton College and 3 digs against Coker College. High School: Ashley was a 2-time All-Conference selection and was named team captain and MVP in her senior year. She participated in the Junior Olympics for 4 years. Personal: Daughter of Jerry and Deborah Blackwelder. Majoring in Business Accounting. Sarah Briggs Class – Sophomore Pos – Defensive Specialist Height – 5-7 Hometown – Gilbert, SC Club Team – SC Juniors Previous School – Lexington HS 2004: Sarah recorded 68 digs in 52 games. She had a personal best 7 kills against Belmont Abbey, and 10 digs against Queens University and Livingstone College. High School: Sarah played for SC Juniors Volleyball Club. She was named All-Region and received Lexington High School Best Defense Award. Personal: Daughter of Darrel and Liz Briggs. Majoring in Biology. Michelle Cash Class – Sophomore Pos – Middle Hitter Height – 6-0 Hometown – Chesnee, SC Previous School – Spartanburg Methodist Previous School: At Spartanburg Methodist College, Michelle played for Coach Megan Aiello. She helped lead the team to a runner-up finish in the 2004 NJCAA Region X Tournament. High School: Michelle was a middle/outside hitter and All- Conference player at Chesnee High School. She was also named Female Athlete for the Year. Personal: Daughter of Renee and Max Cash. Majoring in Psychology. Hayley Malool Class – Sophomore Pos – Outside Hitter Height – 5-8 Hometown – Hilton Head, SC Club Team – Low Country Previous School – Hilton Head HS 2004: Hayley recorded 35 kills, 24 digs, 10 blocks, and 5 aces in 41 games. She had a personal best 8 kills against Lees-McRae College, 6 digs against Coker College, 3 blocks against Barton College, and 2 aces against Queens University and Anderson College. High School: Hayley earned the Hustle Award in her sophomore year. She was a 2-time All-Region selection and was named team MVP in her senior year. Personal: Daughter of Guy and Debra Malool.
