Doggie Dive-In
You have spent the summer enjoying the
water and relaxing in the sun, now its
time to let our four legged friends in on
the fun. On Saturday, September 10th, the
only swimmers allowed in the pool will be
your dogs. This is a one dog per person
event. Dogs must be licensed, current
on all vaccinations and must have the
appropriate paperwork on file with our
office prior to the event. Friendly dogs
only please.

Special Events
Pumpkin Run
Come run or walk in the Delaware County's
largest 5k. Combined with Ohio Wesleyan
University's Homecoming weekend, it is
sure to be bigger than ever! The People In
Need Inc. will receive the proceeds from
this year's race. Participants registered by
September 17th will receive a long sleeve t-
shirt and goodie bag. Awards will be given to
the top overall male and female runners and
top male and female runner in each age
group. Registration forms can be picked up
at the City of Delaware Parks and
Recreation Department located at Mingo
Park. If you have any questions or need

Halloween Party – It’s a Howling Good Time!
Don’t miss our annual Halloween Party full of activities
for everyone. This fun community event includes:
grilled hotdogs, cookies, a bonfire for roasting
marshmallows, pumpkins, treats,
games for kids and more!
Daddy/Daughter Dance
You are cordially invited to attend the 3rd
annual City of Delaware Daddy/Daughter
Dance! Please join us for an evening of
games and dancing. An ice cream bar will
also be available. Moms are welcome to
take pictures for the first half hour. Formal
dress is encouraged. Seating is on a first
come basis. There is a $10 charge for each
additional daughter.

Calls From The North Pole
Imagine the delight when your good little boy or girl
gets a call from the North Pole. Santa, Mrs. Claus or
their elves will call children ages seven and younger
on Thursday, December 1st between 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
To arrange this personalized call, complete the “Calls
from the North Pole” request form (available after
November 1st). Return the form by November 28 to
the Parks & Recreation office or mail to:
