SONdelux is the first hub dynamo generator specially designed to match with<br />
the requirements of modern LED-headlights. SONdelux has received the German<br />
legal mark of conformity to be used together with the Edelux in all wheels<br />
of sizes from 16“ up to 700c. So now for nearly all applications SONdelux and<br />
Edelux are the ideal dynamo powered lighting system providing maximum<br />
illuminance at minimal physical effort.<br />
The SONdelux works fine with other high-end LED-headlights, such as Lumotec<br />
IQ Cyo by Busch & Müller, however without legal conformity in Germany.<br />
The model for disc brakes has a center lock mount. The SONdelux is as robust<br />
as the SON 28 with the same high-quality finish. It is much smaller in size and<br />
lighter (390 g). So it is attractive even for elegant road bikes.<br />

SON 28<br />
SON 28 is a hub dynamo universally approved for all wheel sizes from 16“ to 29“. The<br />
rated output is achieved in the 700c (622)-wheel at approx. 16 km/h (SONdelux at<br />
19 km/h). Thus, SON 28 is recommended if particularly much light is required at low<br />
speed or when either devices are to be operated or their batteries charged.<br />
The new SON 28 is reminiscent of the SONdelux in structure and looks. In the standard<br />
version (non-disc), the flange distance is enlarged by 12 mm and the bearing<br />
distance by 10 mm as compared to the SONdelux. Disc versions are available as 6-hole<br />
and as center lock.<br />
Compared to the SON 28 klassik (model years 2000 to 2011), the power consumption<br />
when no load applied could be reduced by approx. 15 % and the weight by 140 g.<br />

SON XS<br />
SON XS-M<br />
SON XS is the first hub dynamo that has been developed especially for folding<br />
bikes with narrow forks. Its small generator designed for 16“– 20“ wheels was<br />
used in SON 20 R and SONdelux later.<br />
The SON‘s qualities durability, smooth running and particularly its little weight<br />
still make the SON XS the first choice on high grade folding bikes from Brompton,<br />
Dahon and Bike Friday. On riese and muller ‚Birdy‘ the SON XS 100 reduces<br />
total package size due to its short flange distance.<br />

LED Headlight<br />
Edelux<br />
The Edelux utilises the mirror of Busch & Müller Fly IQ. The aluminium housing<br />
facilitates a more effective cooling of the the LED and - therefore it increases<br />
brightness significantly (up to 80 lux).<br />
Its even and very wide lightfield is very appropriate for road traffic (German<br />
mark of conformity).<br />
Its appearance and technical design perfectly match with the SONdelux. However,<br />
it also works fine with any other hub dynamo. The Edelux is not available<br />
for sidewall dynamos or battery operation.<br />
The excellent capacitor standlight and the automatic sensor switch characterize<br />
the Edelux.<br />
The easy-to-use magnetic switching ring and the robust coaxial cable equal<br />
those of the E6 headlight.<br />

Wiring<br />
The SON coaxial cable is PVC-free and is especially manufactured for our headlights.<br />
It is extra tear-proof and flexible. Use of cable conduit for additional<br />
protection is unnecessary.<br />
For proper handling you need some experience as well as special tools. For your<br />
support we offer cables sold by the meter as well as cables prefabricated ready<br />
