<strong>Art</strong> Garden: Children’s Season / International <strong>Museum</strong> Day<br />
Strengthening <strong>Singapore</strong> and France Cultural Alliances through Contemporary <strong>Art</strong><br />
Children and families learned more about the world around them through <strong>Art</strong> Garden, a<br />
contemporary art show specially designed for the young and the young at heart. The exhibition was<br />
part of International <strong>Museum</strong> Day and included learning activities, weekly workshops, film screenings<br />
and an activity booklet specially designed for children.<br />

On 20 May 2010, SAM and the Centre Pompidou signed a Memorandum of Understanding<br />
(MOU) to enhance the development and showcase of contemporary art. The MOU was signed by<br />
Mr. Tan Boon Hui, Director of SAM and Mr. Alain Seban, President of the Centre Pompidou, with<br />
Ms. Jane Ittogi, Chair of SAM and H.E. Olivier Caron, Ambassador of the Republic of France to<br />
<strong>Singapore</strong>, as witnesses to the signing. SAM and Centre Pompidou will co-organise and<br />
co-curate the exhibition entitled Video. An <strong>Art</strong>, a History 1965-2010. A Selection from the Centre<br />
Pompidou and <strong>Singapore</strong> <strong>Art</strong> <strong>Museum</strong> Collections. The exhibition will run from 27 May to 18<br />
September 2011.<br />
