<strong>Registration</strong> <strong>FAQ</strong><br />

Q: How can I register for Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 and how much does it cost?<br />

A: For <strong>com</strong>plete information and links to register, visit the conference Website Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @<br />

OpenWorld 2013.<br />

Q: I am a part of a large group <strong>com</strong>ing to Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld. Is there a group<br />

registration process or any discounts available for groups?<br />

A: Yes! New this year, the Group Pass Purchase program will allow you to pre-pay for multiple registrations at once.<br />

Discounts are applied when five (5) or more passes are purchased. There are no discounts offered for four (4) or fewer<br />

passes. This offer is only valid when paying by credit card, is non-refundable, and cannot be <strong>com</strong>bined with any other<br />

Q: What qualifies me for alumni status?<br />

A: If you attended Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2012, your alumni status will be displayed on your<br />

badge. The e-mail address that you provide during the registration process will be cross-referenced with the<br />

information we have from Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange 2012. During the registration process you will be able to<br />

enter an alternate e-mail address if the one you initially used is not recognized. If that alternate e-mail address is not<br />

recognized as an alumni e-mail address, please contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld help<br />

desk (contact information below).<br />

Q: I need a visa to enter the United States. Does Oracle provide letters of invitation to submit with my visa application?<br />

A: Provided you are registering for Oracle OpenWorld, JavaOne, MySQL Connect, or Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @<br />

OpenWorld for a full-conference pass and are paid in full, Oracle will provide a letter of invitation to submit with your visa<br />

application. Be prepared with pertinent passport and embassy/consulate information as it will be required to process your<br />

request. Attendees are responsible for <strong>com</strong>pleting and submitting the visa application to their local consulate or embassy.<br />

Note letters of invitation will not be provided to people registering for a Discover pass.<br />

Q: I started my registration but did not finish. How can I <strong>com</strong>plete it?<br />

A: Go to My Account. After entering your Oracle.<strong>com</strong> account login details you will be taken to the point in your registration<br />

where you left off.<br />

Q: I received a priority code, but I am already registered. Can I get this code applied to my registration?<br />

A: Contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld help desk for assistance applying the code to your existing<br />

registration (contact information below).<br />

Q: I’m having trouble logging-in to my Oracle account.<br />

A: Refer to the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld “How To Register” guide or contact the Oracle<br />

PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld help desk for assistance (contact information below).<br />

Q: Can I add JavaOne, MySQL Connect, and/or Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld to my Oracle<br />

PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 package?<br />

A: Yes. You can upgrade your experience by adding on JavaOne, MySQL Connect, and/or Oracle PartnerNetwork<br />

Exchange @ OpenWorld to your Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 package for just US$100<br />

each. This rate of US$100 per each add-on conference can only be applied in conjunction with an Oracle<br />

PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 full-conference package and cannot be purchased as standalone<br />

packages. You will be offered the opportunity to add these additional registration packages during the registration<br />

process on the package selection page. For additional information, visit Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @<br />

OpenWorld registration add-on packages. If you are already registered and would like to upgrade your conference<br />

experience, log in to My Account and click on “Purchase Additional <strong>Registration</strong> Items” in the upper right-hand<br />

corner.<br />

Q: I am already registered for a Discover pass. How do I upgrade to be<strong>com</strong>e an Oracle PartnerNetwork<br />

Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 full-conference attendee?<br />

A: You will need to contact the Oracle OpenWorld help desk to make this upgrade (contact information below).<br />

Q: I’ve already registered, but was just approved as an Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld 2013 speaker.<br />

How do I update my registration and get a refund?<br />

A: Your registration will be automatically updated upon your approval as an Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld<br />

speaker. The Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange registration team will refund your registration fee for Oracle PartnerNetwork<br />

Exchange upon your <strong>com</strong>pletion of all required tasks within the Speaker Resource Center (SRC). Note that any add-ons you<br />

have purchased will not be included in the refund. You can contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange help desk to verify<br />

your status and/or refund (contact information below).<br />

Q: My <strong>com</strong>pany will be exhibiting at Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld. How do I register to work at<br />

our booth?<br />

A: You will need an Exhibitor Staff registration priority code. If you do not already have this priority code, please contact the<br />

person from your <strong>com</strong>pany who is managing your exhibitor or sponsor participation at Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @<br />

OpenWorld. If you have any questions, contact the exhibitor hotline at +1.650.506.0001 or e-mail<br />

parter-engagement_ww@oracle.<strong>com</strong>.<br />

Q: I am already registered as an Exhibitor Staff at Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld. How do I<br />

upgrade to be<strong>com</strong>e an Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange full-conference attendee?<br />

A: You can upgrade your existing registration at any time. Contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange help desk for<br />

assistance (contact information below).<br />

Q: How do I cancel my registration?<br />

A: All cancellations must be received in writing, either by fax or e-mail. Cancellation notices can be faxed to<br />

+1.650.226.0596 or e-mailed to OpenWorldReg@gpj.<strong>com</strong>.<br />

Full refund: Cancellations must be received by 5:00 p.m. (Pacific) on August 2, 2013<br />

50% refund: Cancellations received between August 2, 2013 and before 5:00 p.m. (Pacific) August 23, 2013<br />

No refunds will be given for cancellations received after 5:00 p.m. (Pacific) on August 23, 2013<br />

Refund policy does not apply to packages with no registration fees. Cancellation of travel reservations and hotel<br />

reservations are the exclusive responsibility of the registrant. All cancellations must be received by e-mail or fax.<br />

Refunds will not be given to attendees who do not pick up their badge credentials onsite. Note: if your visa application is<br />

denied and you choose to cancel your Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld registration, you still need to<br />

adhere to the Cancellation Policy deadlines listed above.<br />

<strong>Registration</strong> Add-On packages are subject to the cancellation dates and policies above. Additionally, the following<br />

Q: How do I substitute my registration for someone else?<br />

A: Substitutions must be e-mailed to the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld registration team at<br />

OpenWorldReg@gpj.<strong>com</strong> with the names of both the original and substitute registrants. All requests for<br />

substitutions must be received no later than 5:00pm (Pacific) on September 20, 2013. Onsite substitutions will<br />

incur a US$100 processing fee.<br />

Q: What and when is the MySQL Connect conference?<br />

A: Oracle is leading MySQL innovation and delivering numerous exciting new product features to the MySQL<br />

get all your questions answered by the Oracle engineers developing and supporting MySQL products. The<br />

IMPORTANT: Please reference the conference name and invoice number in the memo section of your wire<br />

transfer.<br />

Q: Can I bring my spouse and/or children*?<br />

A: Yes. Guest passes can be purchased after an attendee purchases an Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld fullconference<br />

package. The guest pass can only be purchased in conjunction with a full-conference pass, and cannot be<br />

purchased on its own or in conjunction with a Discover pass.<br />

*Please note that anyone under the age of 18 cannot attend any program or activity at Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @<br />

OpenWorld. If you’re a student and interested in attending, details will be posted on the conference Website soon.<br />

Q: I am not familiar with San Francisco. Where can I get information for my visit?<br />

A: Please visit the official city of San Francisco Website San Francisco Travel.<br />

Q: Whom should I contact if I have special dietary needs and/or allergies?<br />

A: We offer either halal or kosher special meals that you can select during the registration process. Oracle will make<br />

every effort to ac<strong>com</strong>modate your request. If you’ve already registered, you can also access My Account and update<br />

this profile question by selecting Halal/Kosher, or contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld help<br />

desk (contact information below) and we will update the registration record for you . If you have an allergy or other<br />

special dietary needs, you will be able to provide that information to any of the servers onsite where conference<br />

meals are offered and they will direct you to the appropriate meal for your special need(s).<br />

Q: Whom should I contact if I require special assistance (wheelchair or other special access, hearing impaired,<br />

sight impaired)?<br />

A: You will be able to indicate the need for any special assistance during the registration process. Contact information<br />

for these services is also provided within the registration process. If you’ve already registered you can access My<br />

Account and update that profile question, or you can contact the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld<br />

help desk and we will update your registration record for you and provide you with information for specific vendors<br />

who can assist with your needs onsite.<br />

Q: Will I need to wear my badge at Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld?<br />

A: Yes, you will need to wear your badge at all times. Your badge cannot be given to or shared with another attendee or<br />

the badge will be confiscated and you will be asked to leave the event.<br />

If you have access to the Oracle Appreciation Event, you will be given a wristband before the event that you must<br />

wear to that event.<br />

If you lose your badge while onsite, visit any of the registration desks for assistance. There will be a US$75 fee to<br />

print a replacement badge.<br />

Q: Does Oracle have any air travel/ground transportation partners for the conference?<br />

A: Yes. We will have information posted soon to the Oracle PartnerNetwork Exchange @ OpenWorld transportation<br />

page.<br />
