In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Let us remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
Tomorrow morning, the seniors receive their senior rings. They worked long and hard
for the privilege of wearing the ring of Archbishop Rummel High School. The ring sets
them apart as true leaders of Raider Pride, LaSallian spirit , and Christian faith. We
thank you, Lord, for blessing us with these seniors, and we ask that You bless them with
the courage to lead in truth with dignity and pride.
God, our Father, we thank you for today. We offer you the work of this day as an act of
prayer. Guide our thoughts, words and actions that we may do your will and serve you
faithfully. Throughout this day, may we speak in truth, act in justice, and walk in
grateful awareness of being always in your holy presence. This we pray through Jesus
Christ, our Lord.

Morning Announcements
We will have our first mission collection of the year this morning during homeroom.
Each homeroom who reaches a goal of at least $400 will get a donut party at the end of
the year.

The Senior Ring Dance will be held tomorrow night in the Raider Room from 8:00 –
11:00 PM. The dance is semi-formal, coat and tie required, and free to all seniors. All
are invited with or without a date.
The 1 st quarter Driver’s Education class will start on September 3 rd and go to September
16 th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM each day. The session will be held in the cafeteria. Forms may
be picked up from the front desk.
Chapelle High School is hosting their annual Back to School Dance in the Chapelle Gym
tonight from 8-10:30 PM. The cost is $10.00. Please bring your Rummel School ID to
get in. Only dress shorts are allowed. No gym shorts are allowed.
The annual senior/faculty flag football game is on the band field today at lunch. The
past two years, the faculty has beaten the seniors so come and watch as the seniors try
to reclaim their title.
There will be an informational meeting on Monday in room 102 at the beginning of
lunch for anyone interested in trying out for the two time defending State Champion
Bowling Team. If you have any questions or cannot attend, please see Coach Caire.
Attention all 8 th and 9 th graders! Are you interested in being a leader on campus and
being part of Student Council? Come to the informational meeting on Tuesday, August
27 th to find out more info about running for Class President. The meeting will be held in
room 210 during the 1 st half of lunch.
