Areas that are always needing support include our feeding and welfare programs and our community learning centers. Our major undertaking over the next year include our Women’s Shelter Relocation Project. This $800,000 project will see our Women’s Shelter move to newer premises, providing a safer, modern and larger accomodation program for women in their time of domestic or other crisis. We would love to speak with you further about this project and how you can support it. Ways you can help One of the reasons why The Salvation Army is able to do what it does is that it is supported by the generosity and kindness of its many friends. Here are some of the ways you can help: Become A Volunteer Volunteers register with our 31 Mackey Street office, and give invaluable support to the Army’s varied social and community service programs by participating once a week at our School for The Blind, Thrift Store or Feeding Center. In-Kind Donations Businesses and individuals provide a considerable amount of the support that is needed to keep our feeding and other programs going throughout the whole year. Donations of food items, clothing (new and used), books, furniture or anything else that someone else can use, are always welcome! Service Donations In addition to the donation of material items we also welcome the contribution of trade persons, technicians and other service providers who can donate their services or expertise. Financial Donations Your financial contributions of any amount are always needed to help us continue meeting the needs of individuals and families in our communities.
