<strong>Public</strong> <strong>Notice</strong><br />
1. <strong>Department</strong> of Medical Education and Research, Himachal Pradesh intends to<br />
hold the DPC for the post of Assistant Professor in various departments in both<br />
the Medical Colleges of the State.<br />
2. The list of tentative vacancies in GDO quota in the Medical Colleges of the state<br />
is at Annexure A and the list of eligible GDOs as per the information supplied by<br />
the Director <strong>Health</strong> Services, <strong>HP</strong> is at Annexure B.<br />
3. The eligible GDOs, those mentioned in Annexure B and others who are eligible<br />
but are not included in the list (as the list is as per the information made<br />
available by the DHS, <strong>HP</strong>) can represent to the Principal Secretary (<strong>Health</strong>) with<br />
their option for the Cadre i.e. either IGMC Shimla or Dr RPGMC Tanda. The<br />
GDOs whose name is not included in Annexure B may also represent their case<br />
for consideration by the DPC. All such representations should reach the office of<br />
Principal Secretary (<strong>Health</strong>) on or before 14 September 2009 through Director,<br />
<strong>Health</strong> Services. The applicants may also send an advance copy to the Principal<br />
Secretary (<strong>Health</strong>)<br />
4. All eligible GDOs shall have to exercise their option for choice of cadre. Senior<br />
most GDO will get preference for cadre allocation if more than one GDO opts<br />
against one post. In case a GDO does not join after promotion to particular<br />
cadre he/she will be debarred from promotion for a period of one year as per<br />
Service Rules.<br />
