Shoshana Telner (Junior Piano)<br />

Canadian pianist Shoshana Telner has performed across<br />

Canada and abroad. She made her solo orchestral début with<br />

the National Arts Centre Orchestra at the age of 16 and has<br />

since performed as soloist with several orchestras including<br />

the Québec Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Classical<br />

Orchestra, and the National Academy Orchestra. Her solo and<br />

chamber music performances have been heard often on CBC<br />

radio.<br />

Shoshana received a Bachelor’s degree on full scholarship<br />

from Boston University, a Master’s degree from the Juilliard<br />

School in New York, and a Doctorate in performance<br />

from McGill University. She has taught piano and coached<br />

ensembles at McGill University, the University of Ottawa, and<br />

Wilfrid Laurier University. She frequently gives masterclasses, adjudicates competitions,<br />

and examines for the Royal Conservatory of Music. She currently lives in Toronto and<br />

teaches at McMaster University.<br />

Shoshana has participated in numerous festivals including the Hamilton Philharmonic<br />

“What Next?” Festival, Montreal Chamber Music Festival, the Ottawa International<br />

Chamber Music Festival, the Brott Music Festival, and the Focus! Festival and Piano<br />

Century at the Juilliard School. She has also been awarded several honors in national<br />

and international competitions. Shoshana recorded the complete Bach Keyboard<br />

Partitas in 2012, and solo works of Canadian composer Colin Mack on the CanSona label<br />

released in 2009. She recorded the Grieg violin sonatas with Jeremy Bell (Dec 2014).<br />

Mike Tremblay (Stage Bands)<br />

A native of Ottawa, Mike has more than 30 years<br />

experience in the music industry as a saxophonist and<br />

educator. Mike holds a BA MUS from Carleton University,<br />

where he now teaches saxophone, ensembles, and is the<br />

co-founder and Director of their annual Jazz Camp. Some<br />

of his teachers have included Kirk MacDonald, Alex Dean,<br />

and George Garzone.<br />

Mike adjudicates for Musicfest Canada (jazz ensembles),<br />

and the Kiwanis Music Festival (concert bands, jazz<br />

ensembles, and woodwinds). Some of his performance<br />

and recording credits include Natalie Cole, Josh Groban,<br />

Alanis Morissette, John Pizzarelli, Lou Rawls, Bob<br />

Newhart, Bernadette Peters,’The National Arts Centre<br />

Orchestra, and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.<br />

Mike co-released a CD with pianist Mark Ferguson.<br />

"HOME" has enjoyed frequent radio airplay on CBC. Some of his theatre credits include<br />

Jersey Boys and The Drowsy Chaperone (National Tour) Oliver (Produced by the NAC),<br />

Hairspray(Charlottetown Festival), Titanic, Footloose, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and<br />

Annie( Orpheus)<br />
