WORKSHOP CONFERENCE OF COOPERATIVE LEADERS IN DEPED REGION VII
To: District Supervisors/District - In Charge
Elementary and Secondary School Heads
1. Pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 9520, otherwise known as "Philippine
Cooperative Code 2008" which declares it a policy of the state in Chapter 1, Article 2, to
foster the creation and growth of cooperatives as a practical vehicle for promoting selfreliance
and harnessing people power towards the attainment of economic development
and social justice and the mandate that the Government and all branches, subdivisions,
instrumentalities and agencies shall ensure the provision of technical assistance and other
services to enable said cooperatives to develop into viable and responsive economic
enterprises, our DepEd Region VII Office announces the conduct of WORKSHOP-
CONFERENCE OF COOPERATIVE LEADERS IN DEPED REGION VII on October 19-20, 2012 at
the DepEd Ecotech Center, Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City. The Workshop-Conference will start
at 8:00 o'clock in the morning, Friday, October 19, 2012.
2. Participants in this workshop-conference are the following:
a. Division Cooperative Coordinators;
b. Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Manager, and Treasurer of cooperatives;
c. Officers of the Regional Federations of Teachers and Employees Cooperatives
(REFTEC) and Division Federations.
3. In accordance with Article 27, Section 3, R. A. 9520, attendance of participants in this
workshop - conference shall be on official time.
4. Participants are requested to bring the following:
a. List of Officers with their addresses and mobile numbers.
b. Latest Financial Statement as certified by the audit and inventory committee;
c. Updated Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws.
5. A registration fee of One thousand Pesos (P1,000.00) shall be collected from each
participant chargeable to the Cooperative Education and Training Fund or any other local
fund. Division Cooperative Coordinators may charge their travel and registration expenses
to the Division Local Fund.
6. Attached is a Regional Memorandum No. 664, s.2012.
7. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
