25 years of service
A number of milestones were celebrated during the year: estates
manager Stuart Morris completed his 25 th year of service at the
School, where he has been hugely important in many of the
changes that have taken place. His ability to see the impact of a
proposed change has been very helpful in reducing the disruption
and needless expenditure. He has been at the forefront of the
major developments the School has undertaken : the Science
block, Indoor Games Room, Gladstone, the Sports Hall, and
Conference Room, in addition to the many internal changes in
boarding and classrooms . Stuart has also been a highly effective
Health and Safety officer working closely with the Head on the
multiplicity of issues faced by schools. Tony Dallalio celebrated
his 60 th birthday, Ian Welsby his 50 th and Emma Eccles her
40 th . We were saddened to hear that Dave Jones of the
maintenance team suffered a heart attack, but thankfully he made
a full recovery and was back at work before the end of the
academic year.
