Credit Unions are designed for People, not Profits. The Summit Federal Credit
Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and operated exclusively by
our members. That means there are no outside stockholders who require a return
on their investment, which allows us to return the profits back to our members in
the form of higher rates on deposits, lower loan rates, low/no fees plus other
valuable benefits.
As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, The Summit Federal
Credit Union is deeply committed to our members. We uphold our fundamental
responsibility to actively serve people within our field of membership, and as
appropriate, the communities they live in. We treat all members with the utmost
respect and dignity; and we provide honest, fair financial services to all members at
all times.
We provide a wide array of low cost financial products and services to meet the
needs of our diverse group of current and potential members. We consistently
seek new and better ways to reach out to the underserved areas in our field of
membership. In all facets of operations, we will continually demonstrate the
benefits and value of membership in The Summit Federal Credit Union.
The Summit Federal Credit Union exists to serve our members with the goal of helping them
to become financially self-sufficient and successful. We place the greatest importance on
financial literacy and education to assist our members in their everyday lives.
The Summit strives to offer services designed to improve the economic and social well
being of all members from all socio-economic backgrounds, including our low- and
moderate-income members, and to return financial value to all those who participate
in our member- owned financial cooperative.
