Comanche Trails Spring Camporee and Chili Cook-Off April 23rd - 24th at Florey Park, Andrews, Texas. Registration deadline is April 15th to guarantee a patch, and you must file a tour permit on-line at least 2 weeks in advance. Cost is $10.00 per person and includes the patch. WEBELOS are welcome with an adult partner and a WEBELOS cross over is available for any boys who did not cross over at their Blue and Gold. Lone Star District Spring Camporee April 23rd - 24th at Big Spring State Park, Off FM 700 heading towards Midland, just past Wasson Road. You must file a tour permit on-line at least 2 weeks in advance. Cost is $8.00 per person. For more information contact Deanna Kulbeth at (432) 212-3577. 100th Anniversary Gala Event April 30th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm join us at Duck Pond Park at UTPB to celebrate 100 great years of Scouting. Bring your picnic dinner and blanket or chairs and enjoy games, Boy Scout and Cub Scout Challenges, a jumper, etc… Units are encouraged to bring a display that represents themselves. We are putting together a Council Commemorative Photo Disc. Please submit photos of your unit’s activities and outings. We would love to include Scouters from as far back as possible, so contact everyone you know who is or was involved in Scouting and ask for photos and a short bio on where they are now. BALOO or Outdoor Leadership training is MANDATORY if you wish to have an outdoor experience with your unit. Please complete ALL Basic Courses before attending this event, which are; Essentials, Specifics and Youth Protection. BALOO is for all Cub Scout Leaders and Parents.
