AT THE END OF THE 19 th CENTURY
The Benedictine Father Andreas Amrhein, urged by the desire to pass on the gift of faith,
founded both Congregation of the Missionary Benedictine Fathers of St. Ottilien and the
Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing.
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE THIRD MILLENIUM
The Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing work in six continents and twenty
countries “to proclaim the Gospel among who do not know Christ or where Christ is not
sufficiently known and serve where the Church is in need.” In a life of God-seeking according to
the Rule of St. Benedict they help to “awaken the sense of God in our contemporary society and
to make others aware of the integral salvation of the world offered by God in Jesus Christ”
(Constitutions 1, 5).
That in all things God may be glorified.
