Trip Notes Trip distance can be set to zero by pressing RESET for 3 seconds . Note:The display will flash until itchanges to zero . Distance lost (Tack) calculates the distance lost during a tack as a result of the reduction in boatspeed . The distance lost is based on the average boat speed over30 seconds prior to selection of the distance lost display. If RESET is pressed while TACK' is selected, the display will change to show an alternating message'DISTANCE/LOST For DISTANCE/LOST MTR depending on the units selected in calibration . Distance lost will count up until the vessel reaches the average speed of the previous tack. Press RESET to set 'TACK' to zero in readiness for the next tack. Note: The tack function should be reset at least 30 seconds before tacking so that the average speed can be accurately calculated .
