on one side). The single-bevel knife
designs provide a strong, sharp edge
easy to sharpen in the field. With the
single-bevel you only have to sharpen
one side and lightly strop the other.
The other advantages of a singlebevel
edge are ease of notching when
making joints for lean-tos, shelters, etc,
combined with the overall strength of
a chisel-style bevel. It’s very efficient
for building sniper hides, lean-tos, and
dead-fall traps. It also works well for
door breaching and shimming. The
Warrior is available in 3.5", 5.5" and
7.5" blade lengths, and is available with
or without teeth.”
The Suenami series (named after
Mike’s better half) is a compact utility
fighter available in 4", 5" and 7" blade
lengths available in either single or
saber ground iterations. Like many of
Grayman’s knives, the Suenami has a
re-curved blade edge which not only
adds to its slicing length but has that
nice flare at the tip giving extra weight
for chopping. If you want small, check
out the Dinka series. These knives,
available with 3" and 4" blade options,
are perfect as survival back-ups or
single carry performers for casual outings.
Grayman offers other model variations
such as the Pemburu, Defender,
and Merdeka — all built with the knifemaker’s
tank-like construction.
