What is Expamet ExVoid ?
Expamet ExVoid is an attractive, cost effective alternative to using perforated metal or
timber over doors and windows to target harden empty properties. It is manufactured
from galvanised steel into a tight expanded metal mesh.

Our mesh is very strong. It is also fire and weatherproof and is perfect for protecting the
entrances to void properties.
The mesh is formed from a single piece of metal - a slitting and forming process creates
a strong mesh, which means there is nothing to work loose, no fretting strands or strained
joins or welds. Because there is little waste in the manufacturing process,
the cost reductions are reflected in the price to you.
ExVoid’s mesh design allows for high visibility through the mesh. This allows door and
window details to be viewed from a distance, giving a much better impression than
blanked out windows without compromising security.
Another benefit of using ExVoid is that we will manufacture to your specific sizes.
This eliminates the need to cut on site - improving site safety and Health & Safety issues,
as well as giving you cost and time savings.

There are two typical fixing methods - either drilling directly into
the mesh and window/door frames using a Phillips head screw
and machining the screw head to prevent removal of mesh.
or
Drill a 6mm diameter hole into the centre of a diamond and
through the corresponding point in the brickwork (or window
frame). Drill through to the internal room and use a M6 threaded
coach bolt with washer and snap off nut to secure the mesh
in place.
Fixing method chosen depends on individual project requirement.
