MUNA: All MUNA students who have not returned your permission slips need to do so by the end of Thurs<strong>day</strong> this week. Any<br />

YEAR 11 MATHS: 1.10 Assessment: Mr Rutter will be in C4 at lunchtime to<strong>day</strong> if you need help sorting out a printing problem<br />

YEAR 11, YEAR <strong>12</strong>, YEAR 13 MATHEMATICS: “Build Greater Confidence and Skill with Parallel Paper Booklets <strong>2013</strong><br />
The most up-to-date NZQA Mathematics preparation material that is possible to get!” The booklets consist of sets of Parallel<br />
Assessment Papers based on the actual end-of-year NZQA Mathematics Assessments (or a NZQA sample). All have marking<br />
schedules included. $4 for each year, $<strong>12</strong> for past three years, to your Math teacher. Last date Thur 20 June. Booklets<br />
arrive in Term 3.<br />
CHINESE FUNDRAISING: Snacks and drinks – look out for girls around school selling yummy Chinese snacks this week.<br />
They are around $2. This is to fundraise for Chinese Night.<br />
ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Please attend International Assembly in the Hall on Wednes<strong>day</strong> Form time. Register with<br />
you Form teacher first but attendance is compulsory.<br />
ALL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Don’t forget we are celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival after school to<strong>day</strong> in the Golden<br />
Swan Café. If you cannot stay please come and be given a dumpling to celebrate this Festival and still make your bus on time.<br />

YEAR 10: Thurs 13 June Period 5 you will have an Attitude presentation in the Hall. At the beginning of Period 5 please<br />
quickly go to your class to get your name checked off by your teacher, and then quickly move to the Hall for the Period.<br />

YEAR 11 SCIENCE UNIT 1.10: Excretion REMINDER – test catch-up at lunchtime in S9 to<strong>day</strong> if you missed Tues due to PE<br />

YEAR 13 FOOD TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS: are looking for students who are lactose intolerant or gluten intolerant. Please<br />
come to the café (B4) at morning tea on Wednes<strong>day</strong>, to complete a short survey.<br />
YEAR <strong>12</strong>: On Thurs morning 13 th June at form time and Tues next week, there will be a special assembly in the hall for Y10<br />
and Y11 about <strong>Westlake</strong>’s next World Challenge in December 2014. The destination is the exotic and fascinating country of<br />
Morocco! If you’re interested in finding out more, please see your form teacher promptly on Thurs<strong>day</strong> (Akoranga, Hauraki,<br />
Onewa houses) or Tues<strong>day</strong> (Pupuke, Wairau houses) for roll check then go to the back of the hall to hear all about it!<br />
YEAR 10: On Thurs<strong>day</strong> morning at form time you will be attending a special assembly in the hall, for a presentation about<br />

CAREERS<br />
YEARS <strong>12</strong> & 13: The Engineering Faculty at Auckland University is running an information evening on Tues<strong>day</strong> 6<br />
August. This will be repeated on Wednes<strong>day</strong> 7 August. Both evenings will be held at the Faculty of Engineering, Lecture<br />
Theatre 401.439, 20 Symonds Street 6 – 8 pm. Parents are welcome to attend. If you wish to go to either evening please see<br />
Miss Griffin in her office M18 at morning interval.<br />
SPORT<br />
NETBALL (Willow Park): Willow Park Primary School are looking for 8 Netball umpires for their Zone Day next<br />
Fri<strong>day</strong> 21 June from 11.30am till 2.00pm down at Netball North Harbour. If you are available to help out and umpire please see<br />

BADMINTON JUNIORS: A and B your ladder trials continue on Thurs 3.30 to 4.30pm and Mon 24 June, same time and same<br />
place. Junior C Year 10 – your next trial is Mon 17 June in G3 3.30 to 4.30pm.<br />
BADMINTON SENIOR SCHOOL- Senior C Games for Tues<strong>day</strong>. The following teams are not playing this Tues<strong>day</strong> 11 June;<br />
Team 1, 8, 10 and <strong>12</strong>. All other teams are playing. Check the notice board outside the business studies office and the Sports<br />
Department to see who you are playing and the court you are on. SENIOR A and B every team is playing, check the<br />
Department and Business Studies notice board.<br />
BADMINTON JUNIORS: Year 10 trials next week. Junior A and B your ladder trials are on every Thurs<strong>day</strong> in G3 3.30pm until<br />
