EARLY CHILDHOOD Come join the fun on Saturdays! Individuals in these programs will have an opportunity to enhance their cognitive, fine motor and social skills through playing games, swimming and doing crafts. A 1:3 staff to participant ratio is maintained. 1560 Splash & Motor This program is designed for individuals with mild/moderate delays. A 1:3 staff to participant ratio is maintained. 1570 Saturday Recreation This program is designed for individuals with severe or multiple needs. A 1:2, 1:1 staff to participant ratio is maintained. This program is geared towards the beginner and intermediate golfer. Individuals enrolled in this program must be able to walk 9 holes of golf, consistently hit the ball and have participated in NWSRA golf lessons previously. This 4-week clinic will be taught by a golf professional. Lessons will include basic principles of woods, irons, chipping, putting, etiquette and rules. This program is for beginner and intermediate golfers. Must be able to function at a 1:3 staff ratio. The first day will be a skill assessment. Unified teams are comprised of athletes with disabilities 13 years and older and peer players. Register now to be part of the summer fun. All must attend a mandatory practice evening for skill assessment that will be held on Tuesday, July 5 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Rolling Meadows Community Center fields 1 & 2 (closest to NWSRA). League competition will run July 12 - August 23. Games will be played at Rolling Meadows Community Center fields 1 & 2 and also at Palatine Park District Birchwood Park Field. On August 30, a celebration picnic will be held at Palatine Park District Birchwood Park. Game schedules with exact field location will be mailed after the skills assessment.
