NWSRA Art Shows
NWSRA participants may have the opportunity to display art work
throughout the year. NWSRA programs contribute a variety of art
to be displayed at area galleries and art shows. Please contact Sue
Huckstadt for more information regarding dates, locations and
hours for the shows or to display your art work.

Village Art Gallery July 1 - 31 and during Arts in the Park with

FIT PERKS Program
Attention Fitness Fanatics! NWSRA is excited to launch the
Fit Perks program. Fit Perks provides incentives for registering
for fitness-related programs. Fit Perks members will receive Fit
Points for every registration in a Fit Perks eligible program. There
are four reward levels that Fit Perks members may attain. For each
point level achieved, members will receive a reward.
The Fit Perks reward structure is as follows:

Rookie 50 and under Pedometer
Pro 51-150 Water Bottle
All-Star 151-250 Hand Towel
Hall of Fame 251+ Hall of Fame pin
with certificate of
achievement
Programs that award Fit Points are indicated in each seasonal
brochure by a heart icon in the upper left corner of the program
description, along with the number of points assigned to that
program. Enrolling in Fit Perks is easy, just sign up for a fitness
program that awards Fit Points. After enrolling, make sure to
download your copy of the Fit Perks brochure by visiting www.
nwsra.org/fitperks.

Congratulations to these Award Winners
The Illinois Park and Recreation Association Community Service
Award honors those who make outstanding contributions to the
community through involvement in parks and recreation. NWSRA
is pleased to recognize and congratulate the following recipients
of the IPRA Community Service Award: Arlington Heights Young
Professionals, Arlingtones Barbershop Quartet and the Meadows
Baptist Church. These organizations have made a huge impact on
NWSRA and its programs!
NWSRA Board Meetings
NWSRA Board Meetings are held at the NWSRA office at Park
Central, 3000 W. Central Road, Rolling Meadows. The public
is welcome to attend. Please call the NWSRA office prior to attending
a meeting to confirm the date. If an accommodation is
required due to a disability, please contact NWSRA at least 48
hours in advance of the meeting. The summer meeting dates are:
May 25 and July 27.
NWSRA Fall Brochure &
Registration Schedule
The NWSRA fall brochure will be distributed through the
mail, schools and facilities between August 17 - 23. If you
do not receive a brochure by August 24, please call our
office. Fall program dates are tentatively scheduled for
Monday, September 19 - Saturday, December 3. The registration
deadline for fall programs is Friday, September 2.
