and prevents moisture from entering table top core.
High-pressure Laminate
o Tough .04” (.10cm) thickness high-pressure laminate
for added durability and long-term wear.
o A large variety of striking colors and patterns are
available to fit any cafeteria decor.
Solid MDF Core Table Top - Laminate tops are made
with extremely durable ¾" MDF core material that is
stronger than plywood or particleboard, is light-weight, and
resists warping.
Rigid Vinyl Backer Sheet - Far superior to all types of
paper backers.
o Applied to the underside of the tabletops for moisture
control and easy cleanup (including gum removal),
stain resistance and fantastic appearance.
Tamper Proof Expansion Rivets fasten tabletop firmly to
the frame and will not work loose like ordinary screws.
Spacious Elliptical Shape Table Top – Unique elliptical
shape allows eye-to eye contact between all students at
the table, promoting quieter interaction. Top measures 42"
x 121" (107cm x 307cm) which easily fits 12 standard size
lunch trays. The Communicator can serve 25-40% more
students than traditional rectangular tables and chairs.
Seating
One-piece ABS Plastic Stools – Have proven to be
comfortable and durable through years of everyday use.
Open Walkway Between Stools - Twelve attached seats
on a 10' (305cm) table provide generous 23" (58cm) of
spacing between each seat. Each student has a
comfortable space to eat with plenty of space between
student and tabletop.
Aircraft Lock-nuts – Tamper-resistant lock-nuts are used
at all pivot points and won’t loosen over time.
Torsion Bar Assist – Allows one person to easily fold
and unfold table fast and easy. A more durable and longlasting
system than others. Lifting is effortless. Proven in
over 50 years of use.
Center Gravity Lock Bar - ½" (1.3cm) center gravity lock
bar prevents anyone from raising center of table by sitting
on the table end. Easily released from either side.
Two 7 Gauge Vertical Hinges – Extra heavy selfcleaning
hinges won’t trap food while providing additional
strength, security and durability.
Dual 14 Gauge Tube – Structural steel tube design
provides great strength and durability with a stylish look.
One piece unitized frame construction is sturdy and does
not rely on tabletop for strength.
Square Shape Stool Support Post – Prevents any
rotational movement of the stool seat. Lower portion of
support post retains round shape, preserving the elegant
look of the table.
Swivel Casters - Tables roll quietly on 4" (100mm) swivel
casters. Non-marring casters protect the floor.
Protective Neoprene Glides - Non-marring contact with
floor keeps table in place and prevents floor damage.
Reinforced glides contain metal washers to prevent leg
tubes from breaking through bottom.
Serial Number - Permanently marked for easy
identification.
