• General admission requirements:
1. Previous studies
A completed Bachelor's degree from an institution of higher
education recognized by government or accredited by other
recognized organisation.
2. Language requirements
A good knowledge of written and spoken English. TOEFL test score
of min. 550 (213 in the computer-based test, 79 in the internetbased
test) or an IELTS score of at least 6.0

• KTH Unit for Language and Communication offers Swedish
language courses free of charge
• Includes introduction to Swedish culture
• The Swedish courses are divided into four levels:

• Courses offered during the whole academic year. Distancelearning
courses are also available for exchange/master’s

International Student Service
The ISS,
International Student
Service, tries to
provide all exchange
students with a
mentor, which is a
fellow KTH-student
who can help the
newly arrived with
practical details of
confronting a new
city, culture and
language. They
arrange social
activities all through
the year.
