Wishing all my natural friends, a happy and healthy
New Year, The year behind, National Institute
of Naturopathy (NIN) could perform well except
that we could not conduct the International
Naturopathy and Yoga Conference due to financial
constraints. All other programmes planned In
connection with the Silver Jubilee of NIN could be
achieved, Certain new initiatives could be started
and we are looking forward to a healthy growth of
NIN in the coming year.
The free Sanatorium for the HIV+ve Patients is
now started. Construction of the new 10,000 sq. ft.
exclusive treatment section is progressing at a fast
pace. Actions for acquisition of 25 acres of land is
also progressing fast. Once we are able to acquire
the same, we can proceed with the project of
starting the Naturopathy College, Hospital and the
Research unit.
NIN is concentrating on the propagation of the
science of Naturopathy by organizing a number
of awareness programmes through Naturopathy
hospitals across the Country and by self, using
the manpower available with the institute.
Regular Seminars and free Medical camps are
being organized directly by NIN in the housing
societies of Pune and various other organisations
in Maharashtra. Training programmes for various
groups like teachers, nurses, students and women
are regularly conducted by NIN. Orientation
Training for other doctors; continuous Medical
Education programmes for Naturopathy doctors
and Research Methodology Workshops are also
continuing.
NIN’s Heath food exhibitions with seminars
on different topics in different states and the
cookery classes are highly appreciated. At NIN,
the OPD, Yoga Classes, Health Shop, Gym and
the Naturopathic Diet Centre are getting very
good response. Passed year gives satisfaction

and confidence to proceed. Naturopathy and
Life Natural being the end resort for the health
problems of today we need to grow further even
to meet the needs of tomorrow. Through Govt.
of India, and all other State governments, more
clinical facilities and educational programmes have
to be started. Naturopaths need to concentrate
primarily on Research which is the need of the
hour. NIN has definite plans to enter into the field
of research in the coming year.
Followers of Naturopathy need to be more aware
of the health hazards, the regular features or
curse of our society. The Chemical war against the
health of the citizens in the name of globalization
or whatever, has to be quit by the people.
National and Multinational Companies pharmas
and business magnets try to protect their vested
interests, where people have to suffer. Unless we
wake up, these cannot be stopped.
We need to educate the mass, especially Children
and health workers, the importance of life natural,
the rules regarding food, exercise and rest. How
to make use of the natural elements to promote
health, boost immunity and prevent diseases. The
sick are to be reached far for help through our
sure cure, cost effective system of medicine. Let us
remember the words of Swami Vivekananda:
“Arise, awake and stop not,
till the goal is reached”.
